Hey Guys!! GOing to Singapore this July!! Would you mind Recommending "GUitar" Oriented Places there? Or some guitar stores that i should know about? Going in time for the great Singapore sale! Hope to buy gear there... Thanks!!

I suggest two places among the rest:
1. Bras Basa Complex - Swee Lee (medyo mahal), Blackwood (maraming halong used and bnew) and RS Music and Sports ata yung isa, basta malaki with MXR, Ernie Ball and lots of guitar parts
2. Excelsior (tama ba? I forget) - home to several cool places - napakaraming guitars, amps and effects - tulo laway, laglag brip ako dito. malapit ito sa Funan Digital mall.

Do try Bras Basah complex.... there are about 4 or 5 guitar shops there all on the same floor (2nd or third floor yata). nakabili akong Dunlop wah 2nd hand for 50SGD dun, mejo tago yung shop nito sa they're open until 7pm I think.
From there you can walkabout 15 mins. to peninsula shopping center, basement shops nila dami din guitars... andun yung guitar77 and more

sobrang layo nito sa city, its located in Roxy Square, in the vicinity of east coast. But those 2 guys who run the shop are uber friendly.
sa lahat sinabi nyo, di nyo nabangit ung Peace Center... tago ito. pero madaming used items na magaganda :D dun ko nabili yung Fernandes Revival R8 74 RI copy :)

Yung Bras Basah Complex malapit lang din sa City Hall MRT kaya dun ka nalang bumaba kung pupuntahan mo both Peninsula/Excelsior tsaka Bras Basah Complex.

I got my Pedaltrain there which was on sale for a really good price - even cheaper than US prices. Great staff and gear. Just as GS said, Peninsula Shopping Complex and Bras Basah are the good places for gear. Happy hunting Romy! :-)

Mahirap mag-uwi ng guitar as hand-carry kasi it will not fit the overhead stowage compartments. Check in sya dapat kaya dapat hard case ang gitara mo to avoid damage.
Food....mura lang food. I mean relatively speaking. nakaka-kain ako ng full meal duon for 3.50 to 5 SgD la nga lang drinks. Saka wag ka lang maghanap ng lobster...yari ka dun hehehe.

Same thing happened to me. Vacation with family in SG last week. I specifically picked a hotel on Middle Road, near Bras Basah, so I could look at some GAS-inducing gear in that place.
It didn't happen.
First day. We arrived at around 4PM. We went to Marina Crossing (is this correct?) near the SG Flyer to meetup with my uncle who works there. Had dinner at Pariss Resto in one of the malls. After that, I was too tired and bloated to go to Bras Basah.
Second day. We went to Universal Studios. Spent the whole day there, half of the time doing nothing because the weather was really bad. After that, too tired to go to Bras Basah.
Third day. We went to SG Zoo. Spent the whole day there. My 3 year old daughter didn't wanna walk so I carried her almost the whole time. After that, too tired to go to Bras Basah.
Fourth day. Time to go back to Manila, flight at 6:20AM.

taga sa swee lee pati ebenex. sa swee lee luma na mga gamit nila dun pero maganda lang tingnan kasi may private room ung mga high end nila.
mas maigi na ung sa exelsior. if sa bras basah ang pinakatama ang presyo eh ung ranking.

Do you have idea how much un fender american deluxe strat dun? Kung sa online 1,5k to 1,7k usd,magkano kaya sa swee lee? Im here now @ kkmalaysia if ever wala dito baka sa SG ako maghanap..

^^ swee lee has their website and they have the prices there for most of the guitars. but i think ebenex prices their guitars a tad better. namamahalan lang ako sa amps nila- well dun sa mga rare ones na dinaadla nila.

he quoted me $S2400 for a 62 reissue strat, mura na actually considering shipping and gst.

pasyalan mo muna lahat ng stores sa bras basah at excelsior, magkakadikit lang naman... kahit wag ka na dumaan sa Swee Lee, super taga prices dun.

yup.. halos 100% ang tubo sa swee lee.. kaya siguro tinanggal na yung old website (with prices)... nadidismaya na lang yung mga mag ch-check ng price and nawawalan ng gana pumunta sa store.
