Tanong ko lang po base sa experiences ng mga dating users or still users (dito sa Philmusic) ng Sansamp Gt-2 at Tri-AC, ano po ba talaga mas maganda sa dalawa? Advantages at disadvantages? Pareho lang po kasi presyo nila online kaya ang hirap mag-decide kung alin ang ipapabili ko.

Having a Tri-AC is like having 3 GT-2s in one box.. programmable, pero hindi cascadable.. wala rin yata yung mga mic simulations.. pero meron ka Mid control..
if you've tried a GT-2 before, at kung marami kang settings na nagustuhan.. you would benefit sa Tri-AC since meron ngang programmable settings..
they say that the power of the GT-2 is in the cab and mic simulations.. sana kaya din habulin ng Tri-AC yun with the Mid control/knob.. :-)

Pero yung sound quality sir pareho lang ba? pinakinggan ko kasi sir yung mga sound demo sa tech21 mukhang pareho lang sa fender at marshall sound pero parang bitin yung metal sound ng Tri-AC...

to answer this question, having both sansamp gt2 and triac, and later on dispatching triac and keeping gt2. if you want more gain (for metal) settle for gt2, but if you want versatility on one box get triac. nakakadissapoint ang tunog ng triac (brit,calif sound really suck). but the tweed sounds nice lalo pagnakasingle or coiltap humbucker. but then brit and calif sim doesnt have the gain that im looking for, ang nipis ng tunog. and eq arent helpfull tweaking a good presets for saving.

They both color the natural tone of the guitar & amp drastically. Might be good or bad depending on what you are aiming for.

+1, nakakadissapoint lang talaga ang triac interms of gain and eq function.

Meron na akong GT2 8-), gusto ko yung marshall sound nya...parang tube sound talaga... Kaya lang for modern metal tone, parang nakukulangan ako sa gain o baka dahil maliit lang yung gamit kong amp o baka naman pangit yung pickup (stock yamaha) ng gitara ko...

lately ko din nabasa sa reviews ng Tri-AC.. ang mganda daw sa kanya talaga ay tweed.. :-)
BTT: sa orig kong GT-2 dati, i always went with the Brit-Hi Gain-Center settings.. pero with the GT-2 clone ko, i would a different setting that's also really good.. Calif-Hi Gain-Classic.. i like it.. :lol:

nope, i bet to disagree with you, when i actually plug my gt2 to a tubeamp. ang pangit ng kinalabasan, much better siya sa solid state. under that differrent perspective naman habol natin when tweaking/finding the tones that we want. still ok narin gt2, bili ka nalang mas malaking amp, tapos i-crank mo full vol. :-D joke lang :wink:

yep ok yun tweed pero since di ko naman ginamit more typical dist. guy lang ako. kaya dinispatch ko na yun.

I've never really tried running a GT-2 sa tube amp, pero the general consensus said na mas ok ang GT-2 sa SS.. so i generalized na hindi sila talo ng tubey.. sold my GT-2 clone to fund an amp, a tube amp.. lol.. so i thought na hindi sila magmamatch so i needed to dispose it and add up nalang sa budget ko yung maiipon..
but the GT-2 has been a real workhorse and powerhouse pedal.. got to own it 3 times..

On my experience nagustuhan ko lang ang GT2 sa mga bitin tumunog (speakers 10"-8" below), & solid-state na unknown-name brand amps :-D
.. sa peavey transtube hindi rin appealing ang tone. Lalo na pag sa tube-amp nakasaksak, sounds processed to my ears & very compressed.

I also used to have a Tri-AC and with my set-up, it was also too much coloring & compression for my ears. They seem to really work well when direct to the board or "sans amp" :-)

Do you guys have the GT-2 and TriAC in front of your amps, or at the effects loop return? These are analog amp sims, after all.

I agree with sir mark. I already experienced using GT2 to transube. grrrrrr... kahit anong tweak ko, iba ang labas ng sound ko but if I'm using my Fender Deluxe Pluss 112 (SS amp), super satisfied sa performance ng GT2.

I have the GT2. Havent tried the TRI-AC yet, with the GT2 I'm always having a love-hate relationship with it. There are times na maganda and times na minsan gusto ko ibato. eversince I had my crunchbox and rectorizer di ko na siya nagamit hehe.

Used to gas for it and lagi akong nanghihinayang noon dahil 2 beses na ko naunahan sa classifieds. Nung nakakuha ako ng clone thru subzero nawala na dahil nakuntento naman ako, only had to let it go nung nakakuha ako ng orig. I also wanted to try the character series pero nawala na rin gas ko sa kanila dahil baka maging redundant na.

Thats where the twintube classic comes in hehe. Set the gain to 12 o clock and below on the rythm channel then konting boost sa volume then voila! warm and chunk clean tone....

yes. sounded best on my carvin legacy before. a/b'd it with an emma reezafratzitz. killed teh emma. lawl.

i use to own a gt2 a gdi21. now i have a gt2 clone by liptone. works for me

Satisfied na ako sa GT2 kasi puro classic rock at old school metal naman kadalasang tugtugan namin :-D. Yung Barber Dirty Bomb naman target ko ngayon :evil:.

supot tri-ac kasi wala siya nung hi gain at hotrod switch di tulad ng gt2. i onwed a gt2 before and ok naman. nakulangan lang ako sa gain or yung thumping bass and mids. namimili din siya amp.
but i got a liptone gt2 clone and parang mas ok tumunog ito at di namimili ng amp. mas ok din gain response niya. works for me plugged in front of the amp.
