Title: Installing Windows VST's to OSX PT?
Post by: starfugger on July 05, 2010, 09:45:14 AM
am i asking for the world?  :-D

I know that there is fxpansion which effectively wraps free and commercial vsts in OSX as long as there is an OSX installer of the vst.  but what if we dont have the OSX installer?  is there any way to get those windows vsts into OSX and wrap them for pro tools?

if youve done this before please share :)

Not being a nay sayer here, but I don't think this is possible at the moment.

System Calls in Mac OS are totally different from System Calls in Windows. Maybe if we can see further improvements in WINE or CrossOver, this might become a reality. Not for now.

Cheers!

thanks Mario :)

it's sad to hear this though.  there is an excellent excellent vst plug-in out there that i wanted to install on osx and sadly that version doesnt have a mac installer.
