for those who want to have a listen to the new B3 MU-215A (Powered Dual 15"+ 1.4"Compression Driver), Red Damien Audio, provider of the audio system in the open plaza,just upgraded their speaker system at Metrowalk Ortigas to a pair of MU-215As
There are bands playing every night at the venue from 8pm-12MN.

Have a listen, it does not sound like your typical dual 15"...it reproduces the mids better than other brands of the same configuration.

After being pleased by the performance in the past days, Red Damien owner Marvin dela Cruz, purchased 4 more units of the MU-215A to upgrade his older speakers.

Kakagaling ko lang sa Metrowalk, OK siya tumunog.
Nakakwentuan ko din ang tech, masaya siya dun sa B3.
dati dual 15" din gamit nila na ibang brand, passive kaya linagyan nila ng malakas na amp.
ngayon daw, mas maliit pa itong B3 na dual 15 pero mas malakas at malinaw.
panalo!

@sikyo - they are currently using assembled sub-zero subs but that will soon be changed to the self-powered dual 18" B3 subs.
@aquaracer - yup, they were using Kevler SR-clones before.

ahh... mas mahal pa ata ang kevler sr tapos may amp pa. Ilang per side ang ginamit na B3 dual 15's at B3 powered sub?

they are only using a pair (1 unit per side) and they are very happy with how it performs...and its not even driven hard.
the B3 powered subs have not yet arrived.

right now they are using a pair of SUB-ZERO subs per side...
The B3 Sigma-118A single 18"sub is a best seller among rental groups and installers but some like a Dual 18" so that they can stack a speaker on top of it.

The ones in use at Metrowalk are B3 MU-215A (Active), these are P44,995 Retail each. They are using 2 units at Metrowalk for the daily live band entertainment.
The owner of Red Damien mentioned that some of the bar owners and waiters have took noticed the big improvement in clarity and over all musicality....without driving the system hard

the best is to formulate your own opinion, have a listen, they have live entertainment every night.
best of all, parking is FREE at Metrowalk.

sir, are you referring to the Beta 3 MU18Ba? if so, any idea how much it would cost, kahit ballpark lang po, and also would it differ much from the corresponding Sigma model sonically, considering front load vs. bandpass, other differences, if any, also taken into consideration? TIA po

@Sikyo -- I was referring to the FOH speaker used at Metrowalk, they are using just a pair of the MU-215A (pictured at the first part of this thread)
as for the subs, Red Damien is waiting for the soon to be released Sigma 218A Dual 18 self-powered subwoofer.

sorry po sir, i was referring to the the latter part of your statement quoted above ('the B3 powered subs have not yet arrived') interested po kasi ako. nakita ko po specs nito and wanted to have kahit a ballpark estimate per piece. thanks po uli :-)
