Complete lineup of bands. Thanks PhilMusic and fellow musicians who understand why this was a ticket-selling event. :-)

Sir, the bands who will play are actually FREE of charge. Yung 10 tickets will be paid by their guests, not the band members. So there. Don't go flaming up on me or start provoking 'cause we are not requiring you to play if you don't want to. Simple as that. Your first post on this thread was on September 30, 2010. Then your most recent post was yesterday, October 21, 2010. Why do you keep flaming up on this thread? Do you have something against me/us? Hope not.

We used to have a problem with producers posting "gigs" which turned out to be nothing but a ticket selling brouhaha for the bands.

In light of that, I will have to lock this thread while the mods deliberate on this issue.

agree with boss KitC.  a lot of bands are interested to play in this gig, lalo na kasi friday gig siya (the second-most coveted gig day behind saturdays), so we'd like to know the specifics.   :-)

just ask po ung mga nakapost na mga bands na nauna.. nakontact na nila yun.. um ang preshuhan is 150 per tix,... 10 tix lahat para makapasok sa lineup... nabura ko na text nila eh..

yes ticket selling ito, 10 tickets per band ang terms and 150/ticket sayang at Friday gig pa naman ito at sa ten O2 bar ang venue.

since malamang IBTL ako dito, lemme ask this to the prod people...10 tickets for P150 each?  madami ata yan.  what's in it for the bands?  is it something they can enjoy, like free beer and/or food, some ticky-tacky souvenirs like keychains or production buttons, or nothing at all except a chance to play? 

if it's free beer or food, dapat marami-rami yan, after all we're talking P1500 worth of tickets.  we just played a ticket selling gig and got 5 beers to share among the three of us, 1 beer consumable per guest at P100, 5 ticket quota.  that was one of the few times na pumayag kami sa tixsell...

if it's number 2 or 3, then i'm sorry but no can do.  i'm not here to discourage any of the bands from playing...desisyon nyo yan, but just stating once again why i, as a band manager/drummer would really have to think several times about accepting a ticket selling gig, and would definitely say no to "ndi pouh cya tixsell, bigay lng kau ng (place monetary value here jejeje) remitanzzz" gigs.

(btw the above jeje line is a fairly accurate reconstruction of an actual text i received last year when inquiring about a gig.)

Is it my understanding that you just want to play for free? You can do that at home. Even big name bands need ticket sales. Make a name for yourself and be great at playing, and maybe, just maybe, you can open for somebody. Only then can you play for free. Don't diss someone until you know the business.
