Kaka install ko lang ng Ubuntu version 10.1 alongside Windows XP., maganda ang daling gamitin kumpara sa ibang versions ng Linux. Free pati kaya okay. For details visit nio lang website nila:

im using ubuntu studio 9.04. im not sure if someone developed graphics drivers for 10.04 or 10.10 for my laptop thats why i couldnt shift versions yet.

Tama kasi di pa fully supported yung graphics adapter ko eh naka minimal settings lang ang display. First time ko gumamit nito ibang iba talaga ang directory structure sa Windows. Dati nakagamit ako ng Mandrake kaso di nagtagal sumubok narin ako mag Red Hat 9 kaso ilang weeks lang nasira din pc ko :-D
Isa pang minimal issue yung sa Google Chrome, di masalpakan ng matinong flash plugin or windows media player 11 plugin; FireFox parin gamit ko. Mas maganda kung nasa separate partition talaga siya kasi pag within windows lang tapos nasira sya or windows wala sira talaga.

Not sure bro, di ko pa nasubukan ubuntu sa recording eh. Jokosher ata or Audacity puede sa ubuntu. Check mo rin tong link bro:

yes with all the plugins for audacity. but audacity isnt that powerful, but is good for making bedroom demos. if you want something powerful, use ardour which is built-in with ubuntu studio. though it requires patience to configure it since its dependent on jack.

you have to install a host like wine for it to work. take note that running it under a host may not work 100% but this depends of course on the software. theres a known listing somewhere, wherein they rate how much certain application works under a hosting enviro in linux.
