Title: dslr price in singapore vs manila

the great singapore sale is near and i'm considering buying a d3100 w/ 18-105 lens. will it be cheaper to buy in singapore during the gss or online here (kimstore/dbgadgets)?

cheapest if you go to the store and ask for discount... stay away from lucky plaza... try funan IT mall  :-D

Significantly cheaper than sulit sellers during the gss?

Interesting :-) any specific stores to check out? If ever, baka papabili lang kasi. So I'll just tell my friend what exactly to buy.

I was about to buy locally (one of the midrange Nikons). How big is the price difference?

sabi ng nakausap kong singaporean sa funan mall daw pero di ko alam magkano matitipid sa gss + gst. online srp prices kasi sa sg parang pinas lang. not sure kung bibili pa rin ako tho nabasag kasi lcd tv ko kanina

Sorry to hear that.

Yeah, from the online prices na nakita ko, halos the same lang (~ 1-2k PHP usually). Kung ganun ang difference, mas gusto ko na ako nalang din bumili here. Hassle pa sa friend din eh.

sir bakit wag sa lucky plaza?
puro illegal ba mga item dun?
dun ko pa naman nabili cam ko, sa kalahating presyo haha,

not all shops but most of them will either give you ridiculous prices or sell cheap "Used" items... i remember a psp was sold there for S$2600.00 = P90,500+

chineck ko agad yung shutter count pagkabili wala pang 10 shots ata yun or 20,

had our vacation sa sg last september and dropped by the IT show. sobrang dami ng tao and the price is the same here (mas mura pa sa sulit) except daming freebies na kung bibilhin mo will cost you more than 10k so sulit na rin. just don't forget to ask for a gst receipt para marefund mo yung tax. also walang warranty sa pinas ang body yun lang lens kaya be warned.

freebies ko: electronic dry box, 2 x 8 GB sandisk SD cards, led video light, tripod, case, lens cleaner
