ano po bang difference ng sounds ng china sa ibang cymbals? wla kasi akong china and never pako ngkaron ng china.. :D

In general, there are two families of cymbals... Turkish cymbals and China cymbals.

Turkish cymbals are the most commonly used.  Rides, crashes, hats... these are Turkish-style cymbals.  It has this defined bell, taper and bow that we drummers are familiar with.

China cymbals have upturned, flanged edges, and commonly produces a trashy, abrasive sound.

kahit na advance basic lang palo ko, masabaw at ma-gata pa rin ang tugtugan...

it's the footwork - snare - cymbal culmination importante kung hindi kumapit ang isa sira na ang groove, tapos i've learned through hard experience na mga drummer ang pinakabingi sa lahat ng instruments sa performance kasi asa likod ka or malayo ka sa major monitors kaya instinct na lang ang gagalaw sa yo.

also, ewan ko lang kung agree kayo sa akin, ang drummer dapat ang may hawak ng timing ng buong song or tugtugan kasi ikaw ang may control ng groove not any other instruments...

Ako? wala ako paki sa brand ng drums. Basta nasa tono at maayus ang gamit papaluan ko. Kahit pa mabaho ang drums tatanggalin ko ang amoy nito sa pamamagitan ng magandang pagpalo! :)

uhm, naeexpress ko ang sarili ko sa pag ddrums kahit di ako ganun kagaling.. atleast masaya ka sa ginagawa mo kahit lahat ng tao sa bahay di ka maintindihan at ang lageng sinasabi ay "ANG INGAY NG DRUMS MO!!"

encouraging noh?? tama din yung sinabi ni sir daemonite.. sa tugtog minsan parang nasa bahay lang ako, na drums ko lang naririnig ko, tama kasi di mo na masyado maririnig yung gitara at bass dahil busy at concentrated ka sa pag ddrums.. so tama din na instinct nlng pero maki ramdam ka rin sa ginagawa ng bandmates mo..

yan lang maishshare ko,, correct me if i'm wrong!! :-D :-)

i always seek the comfortability of the drum set i use.. comfortable chairs, sticks and pedals.. now all i need is a peace of mind.. ahmmmmmmmmmm......  :-D

when i play, i avoid frequent eye-contacts sa mga tyiks sa audience..  :lol: pasira tong mga to eh..  :lol: saka na pag tapos..  :-D

For me it's my passion, I can express myself more in music.. plus it's a lot better than spending time and money on drugs or online games or any highly addictive activity where nothing good comes out of it. 8-)

tama ka diyan sir, ehehe.. ako din di nag oonline games at drugs e, haha... sayang kasi yung pera, sa batch namin, ako lang ang lalaki na di marunong mag dota!!
haha, sinasabi sakin nung mga kaklase ko, "puro ka drums, dota tayo libre na namin kahit ilang oras ka pa" tumatanggi ako, sayang sa oras, hehe...

eto ang magandang usapan, heheheh



anyway, sa church kasi namen Tama tatak ng drums. pero kahit anong tatak, ok lang. never had a special cymbals. i just need toms. though mas prefer ko yung three toms, then two floor toms, e wala e, kaya two T and one FT nalang pinagtiyagaan ko. my snare needs to be well tuned, the same goes with the toms. they need to be "crunchy."

now, what advantages?

hmmm, pag masarap na ang tugtugan, napapatayo ako sa kit while playing the drums. hehehe, (MP fan kasi e), then i do the tony royster jr. stuff, yung tipong papaluin mo yung hi-hats on alternate sides e.g. top hat first, then bottom hat next. heheheh, can't explain e, basta ganun. then mag rolling/fill-in ng isang kamay. hehehehe

baliw noh?
