its an analog-to-digital converter. usb audio, esp. when using asio, prefers to use the same usb port to output audio. output meaning digital-to-audio, which the line link doesn't have. plus it doesn't have asio drivers so is reliant on asio4all. you get what you pay for.

what about presonus firestudio project 8 ins and outs ok na ba yan? low latency ba sya? please advice, im planning to buy this one....salamat mga sirs!!!!!

The presonus firestudio interfaces are pretty choosy when it comes to firewire chipsets. In most cases, you need a firewire card that uses TI chipsets. Most mobo firewire chipsets use inexpensive parts and are often sharing an irq with other devices. Try to look for branded firewire cards (belkin makes at TI based firewire expansion card) so you will have trouble free performance.

Have you tried inquiring with JB? They carry the Focusrite line. Check them out at jbmusic.com.ph
