Hi I have been composing bite-size tips for total beginners in audio recording. Check this out: 100 Audio Recoring Tips! (http://www.bandtips.net/2012/07/100-audio-recording-tips.html) And if you find it useful, please share! I made this compilation really simple so the ones who want to start from "no idea" can still relate to it. I sincerely hope this helps! Maraming Salamat Philmusic!

Thanks for the link!

Thanks din. I actually asked some people here in Philmusic to contribute. Some of Skunkyfunk, and others' stocked-knowledge trivia is in there. So thanks! Ill be doing something for songwriters next time, or perhaps update this list. May mga gumagamit ng tablets for live mixing eh. Haha. salamat! :)

although some are trivias...
but great info nonetheless... thanks for sharing Luis Azcona.

Luis, I think one of the challenges of today's producers is to think outside the box. It is very convenient for us to use emulations, use techniques that were employed in historic projects and do 'what worked'.
Personally I am starting to be in auto-pilot mode. And it is NOT good. Client needs always require auto-pilot procedures for faster turn-over time but now I am starting to appreciate how guys like Eddie Kramer, Jimmy Page, and all those producers worked their brains to achieve new sounds.

agree. no matter how advanced MTPA may get, its still the producer who will make the difference.

Thank you so much for this http://www.bandtips.net/2012/08/100-audio-recording-tips-part-6.html (http://www.bandtips.net/2012/08/100-audio-recording-tips-part-6.html) marami din pala akong pagkakamali sa recording like yung sabi dito sa Tips No. 55: "Its best to have a pair of flat response speakers as your primary monitor. " ang gamit ko kasing pangMonitor sa recording ko kpg nagMimix na ako is naModify ko pala kaya medyo nakaRock ang mode ng Audio setup.. too bad.. (medyo mataas ang low & High)
sa ngayon alam ko na.hehe.. maraming salamat..
anyway, eto po ang Home recording samples ko.. soundcloud.com/ejcloresmusic (http://soundcloud.com/ejcloresmusic)

Isama ko na din pala to.. Tips No. 81: "Test your mix on as many kinds of speakers as you practically can."
at saka pala eto.. No. 99: You'd be surprise by how having two PC monitors can speed-up your work - one for track view, another for console (mixer) view.
