Title: NEED HELP..LED TV or PLASMA?

im choosing a graduation gift for my 2 kids..they are fond of watching movies and i would like to give them  the best,well all fathers wants the best for their children,television that my pocket can provide..im not much of an expert so i would like to ask for an advice or suggestions..
my choices are the LG PLASMA 42inch and the LG LED 42inch..i just dont know wich is better..PLASMA or LED..
i love the 3D SMART TV but it's not advisable and it's too much for them..
please help and thank you.. :)

here is a useful link bro, but in summary, if you wanna save electricity costs in the long term, go for the LED if you can afford it. it might be more expensive initially but it's the best technology for the price out there.

only reason I can think of to go for the plasma is if you think the picture quality is much better (this is a very subjective matter so you have to decide on this). or if the deal is absolutely a killer one (great bundle like PS3 and speakers, a big discount, or long time payment scheme on zero interest).

Just bought the LED one last December, and it was worth it. Agad kong sinaksak yung Dark Knight. Sound is loud too.
I didn't get the plasma kasi medyo mas mainit yung panel nya pag tumagal.

PARE BAWI AKO KAY JARED ha :) ggraduate pala sya! sobrang busy lang talaga ako

Bro GO FOR LED really..naka PLASMA kasi kami pero sa kuya ng asawa ko puro LED and pansin ko yung difference :)
mas may mga sale nga lang ang PLASMA ngayon..pero kung ako bibili LED na talaga bro hehehe..mas maganda na mas matipid pa!!!

sa Singapore and Hongkong talaga malaki kamurahan ng TV's bro..plan ko pag mag upgrade kami eh dun magpabili :D
