medyo naaaddict ako sa jazz/fusion music. may ma-suggest ba kayo na band or cd na maganda? and kung may alam kayo na mga recordings ng mga artists na may magagaling na session drummers, share niyo naman kung sino and kung anong album yun. try ko hanapin sana meron sa tower... :D

^^^ +1 mahavishnu orchestra's birds of fire album, the guitar playing is weird and way way out there but the drumming is excellent
i have the billy cobham dvd too, ano ba tawag dun sa parang plangana na gamit nung percussionist?

guys ako naman nghahanap ng walang drums... yung tipong guitar, bass, piano, trumpets, sax lang na pwede sabayan habang ngda-drums.. meron ba kayo copy dyan? pa copy naman...

wow!!....tama ka...1st song pa palng ulam na..yung birdland na song nila alam ko remake lang nila yun. alam ko kasi weather report originals yun. dun ko kasi unang narinig yung birdland. pero astig pa rin remake nila.... :-D

Actually, halos lahat ng contemporary jazz players ngayon are into Fusion- yun kasi ang trend ngayon sa jazz eh :-)

Actually, halos lahat ng contemporary jazz players ngayon are into Fusion- yun kasi ang trend ngayon sa jazz eh :-)
Chad Whackerman- astig drummer. Look for his Scream album!
Lee Ritenour- i like his styles in fourplay band. and their drummer harvey mason.

What do you mean? Who played on those Allan Holdsworth tracks that you mentioned?
Vinnie Colaiuta played on Against The Clock (from Allan Holdsworth's album Wardenclyffe Tower).
Proto Cosmos is originally done by the Tony Williams Lifetime, from the legendary fusion album Believe It (1975), with of course, the great Tony Williams on drums. In the Allan Holdsworth remake, I believe it was Gary Husband who played the drums (on the Live In Tokyo, 1990 album).

sino pa yung mga artists na natugtog ng ganung katindi sa Fusion genre...kasing tindi ng against the clock ni allan holdsworth at yung rendition nila ng proto cosmos..parang jazz/rock fusion, nagets niyo?

matindi kasi (for me) yung mga ganung fusion tracks...magaling! :lol:

hi everybody! we are inviting some DRUMMERS in our band who are interested in TECHNICAL METAL/JAZZ FUSION such as: CYNIC, SPIRAL ARCHITECT, DEATH, SPASTIC INK, MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA, RETURN TO FOREVER, WEATHER REPORT, ALLAN HOLDSWORTH, TRIBAL TECH and other technical bands..
We don't have a drummer right now. If some of you have same appreciation in this genre, hope we could jam someday..:-)
