My friends bother is currently learning the ropes to learn playing the drums and is quite good at it now. Just have a few questions for all experts out here.
1. What is the best double pedal that can be bought here in the philippines? and where? basically a not that expensive but can perform well and can be suited to all types of set-up. :?
2. What is the best brand of sticks that you guys can suggest based on your experience? where can i buy? :?

sa pedals i can only comment sa mga pearls and yamahas basically the ones i have owned.
when i first started out yamaha ang single pedal ko (not flying dragon, but a lower model). i used that pedal until it finally gave up on me (mga 5 years?). then i bought a single pedal pearl eliminator (mga 4 years ko naman nagamit). then i sold that one and bought pearl elims double peds which are my current pedals. so far, sa pearl pedals, wala naman akong masabi. ok na ok and very durable.
sa sticks naman, again i can only vouche for what i have used. i used zildjian sticks dati pero napansin ko parang lately hindi na ganun ang durability ng sticks nila kaya i gave up on them. nagpapadala na lang ako ng sticks sa mga kamag-anak (no name brand sticks na matibay naman but cheap). and just recently nagkaroon ako ng vic firth 5A's. grabe ang layo ng feel ng stick na ito sa no name sticks (of course). ang tibay and iba talaga yung feel sa kamay. medyo may kamahalan, pero if you factor in proper stick technics, tatagal ang mga vic firth's.

no problemo...
well, sa yupangco lang merong pearl pedals and vic firth drumsticks.
pwede ka rin naman tumingin sa iba..
audiophile carries tama drums and hardware (including pedals) and i think meron din silang drumsticks not sure lang kung anong brand.
JB carries sonor and gibraltar hardware and pedals. zildjian sticks naman ang meron sila...

sa pearl ako..i fell like a god when i used one
maganda yung feel + durable
wais!

VIC FIRTH! i loved this sticks so much compared to Zildjians
di nako natitibayan sa zildjians pagkatapos kong bumili ng vic firth
hindi siya nabali..nagcchip off lang yung wood :-)

Many Thanks to All that replied. Really Appreciate it. I will be buying the pedals and the sticks this weekend. I hope my budget is enough for it in which i doubt it will.
Anyway, is there any other option as to what double peds is practically ok with a limited budget? Say around 10k.
