been listening to deep purple thes past few days... napakingga ko drummer nila lupet ng style niya.. ano pangalan niya ?

wow... siya ba yung orig til now ? ang lupet ng palo niya sa space truckin' eh idol na idol pero nung mapakinggan ko yung live ng high way star parang supot parang magkaiba yung pumalo or dahil matanda na ?

Ian Paice has been with Deep Purple since the 60's pa.

check out "Lazy" from Machine Head - hinde rock ang palo dito kundi swing pa.  also "Fireball" double bass drum siya dito nung early 70's

Yes! Ian Paice. Just a little trivia here, Left-handed ang drummer na 'to at ang set up ng kit nya baligtad din.Nasa right side yung hats at left side yung floor toms.Checkout their song "Fireball"

Recently, binalikan ko ang Deep Purple.  I've been listening to Ian Paice again nowadays, and wow, I realized that he's one rock drummer who is so ahead of his time.  He's got plenty of chops to spare, and he can definitely groove.  I think every aspiring rock drummer should check out Ian Paice.  I can consider him as one of the most underrated drummers in rock music.

I'm wondering...  How do you pronounce his last name?

I saw the latter DP DVDs and I wasn't as impressed with him compared to his Machinehead days.  Why oh why?  What happened to the syncopations in BLACK NIGHT?  Why doesn't he roll as much in HIGHWAY STAR?

He's a great drummer in my book, but I do miss his prowess during his younger years.

O totally agree on this. parang nabawasan yung gilas nya pero ok pa
rin naman. kaya mas hanep tlga nung bata pa sila super aggressive tlga.
nowadays hehe mature playing na lang which is still good. tanda na eh
buti nga andyan pa rin sila at mukhang enjoy na enjoy pa rin sila
sa ginagawa nila.
