Hi guys! Sana matulungan niyo ako. Sa December 20 (after 13th month) bibili ako ng guitar; the first that I'll be buying 3 years after nasira yung unang gitara ko. Mejo nawalan na din ako ng drive tumugtog no'n. Sa haba ng panahon na 'yun eh wala akong hinawakan at tinugtog na gitara (I was never a good player to begin with, anyway. Mejo angat lang siguro ng konti sa Beginner level).
Pero these past few months, may isang gitaristang gumising sa interes kong tumugtog ulit after ilang taon. This guy is none other than Ed Sheeran. Grabe, sobrang nagagalingan ako sa kanya. For sure, masmarami pang magaling sa kanya. Pero simula nung una kong napakinggan 'yung Lego House, pinagiisipan ko na kung bibili ba ako ng gitara o hindi.
Hanggang sa narinig ko 'yung isang kanta niyang "Bloodstream". This song was the trigger. Sabi ko, "Gusto kong matutunan 'to. Gusto kong maging kasing-level ni Ed Sheeran." I've been saving up my money, and now I'm looking for a guitar that I can really learn on.
Sana matulungan niyo ko mga sir/ma'am. Gusto ko talagang matuto ulit, and this time, seseryosohin ko na. Anong guitar ba ang maganda para sa katulad ko? I've been looking at D&D, RJ, and Takamine, pero hindi ako makapag-decide. Brand new lang po sana hangga't maaari, and budget limit is Php 10k. Salamat talaga, mga sir/ma'am!
P.S.
Makakatulong ba kung sasabihin kong sa Pampanga area lang ako hahanap/bibili? Wala akong tiyagang pumunta sa ibang lugar na kakailanganin ko pang mag-bus e. Salamat ulit!

Hmm posible bang makabili ng complete package sa 10k (with amplifier and misc. accessories)? Maganda sana kung ganon. Tapos tumingin ako sa site ng Music Source at nakakita ako ng guitar, tatak Stagg. Ngayon ko lang narinig yung brand na yun. Maganda ba guitars nila?

Wag kang bibili ng complete package na less than 10k. Chances are hindi sya maganda. Saka na ang amp gitara muna.

Ahh o sige, I'll keep that in mind. Alam nyo ba yung brand na Stagg? Okay ba yun? Tinitignan ko kasi ngayon ung SW206 nila at yung Slim Standard ng D&D.

Ahh oo, nakita ko rin ang Phoebus ng Guitar Pusher, kaso sa Makati pa sila. Shipping costs as much as Php 2k. :( Sa Pampanga lang ako makakatingin. Ang major music stores dito: Lazer, Music Source, Lyric, and JB Music. Do they carry any good beginner guitars?

IMHO. Go for D&D sir and not for the Stagg

IMHO, please try your best to make it to Guitar Pusher to try out Phoebus Guitars. I own a Takamine EG340C pero yung katumbas niya sa Phoebus, sobrang mas mura. at for the price nung takamine ko, nakabile na ako nung top of the line phoebus. sighhh lesson learned for me. nagmadali kasi ako.
kung wala talaga, best na next option siguro is alvarez guitars sa lyric. then Greg Bennett acoustics sa lazer, then Cort acoustic sa lazer, then D&D Acoustics.
okay yung stagg, kaso problem is virtually no resale value si stagg. pero maayos siya. I'm a fan of their products pero marami kang kailangan i upgrade sa stagg.
so yun, TL:DR, eto ang personal preferences ko for the given budget:
1. Phoebus
PG40CE
PG30CE
PG20CE
2. Alvarez Guitars
3. Greg Bennett (Kung may available pa)
4. Cort
5. Takamine
6. D&D
7. Stagg
8. Fernando

Wow sir, salamat sa reply! Hmm mukhang napakaganda ng reviews ng Phoebus guitars dito. Sige this Saturday, luluwas ako para icheck ang guitars nila. Pero nagugustuhan ko yung PG20CE. Parang masyadong malaki yung PG30CE and wala sa budget yung PG40CE. Thank you ulit!

I bought a Lag Tramontane for a friend recently. Nice satin finish on that dreadnought and also very bright and clear, much unlike what I expected for a guitar made of mahogany/red cedar. I can still remember the sound, and I think he's very happy with it.

I agree with this! LAGs are good! however, with the budget given by the TS, the best LAG he can afford will ba a T66 and... it's kinda OP'd in lyric for the specs you are getting. :(
the T200 does look good though :D
