ano kaya kalalabasan nung bagong album ng korn? hmmm taking a break daw si david silveria...
nung 2004 megadeth released an album with vinnie colauita on drums. parang ang weird naman siguro isipin na si dave weckl ang next drummer ng limp bizkit :-D

swerte nila jonathan davis... sana maging permanent na siya sa korn.. tingnan natin kung saan niya madaala yung sound ng korn.. wag lang sana masaydo maging parang fantomas...
dont get me wrong, david silveria is a great drummer.. power talaga.. pero syempre, si bozzio yan eh.. astig.. parang alanganin nung una kong nalaman pero ngayon naisip ko, ok na ok ito...

i always thought that korn's sound can be improved way further with a different drummer, i felt like their sound stagnated ever since they released their first album... parang walang nagbabago. what they need is someone who is technically gifted and has wide array of styles and sound = terry bozzio.

i remember vinnie paul playing drums for nickelback on one of their tracks..ang bigat pare..i was never a nickelback fan pero astig yun song na yun...
well lets just wait how korn will sound with bozzio on the drums..

pinanood ko ulit yung queen of the damned movie kagabi. si bozzio pala yung nag drums dun sa soundtrack nun. dun din sila unang nagkatrabaho ni jonathan davis.
baka ganun ang feel ng bagong songs ng korn? korn-lite :-D
but its too early to judge, never been a korn fan anyway

ok naman si david ah? bakit kaya wla cya ngayon? d na ako makapag hinty kung pano babagayan ni terry ang tugtugan ng korn. :-D malupit c david pero parang iba na tlga pag c terry. :-D nakaka hilo ung kit ni terry hehe.

To be frank, I don't get it hehe... :-D I agree, Korn is darn lucky to have the legendary Bozzio to play drums for them. Terry Bozzio is no stranger to music's most shocking moments. He has done so much throughout his illustrious career. He has played with the greats (Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, etc.), he ventured into pop music (Missing Persons), he innovated the instrument through his ostinato studies and his symphonic/orchestral drumset masterpieces, he has contributed so much to the art of the modern drumset... And now, he plays for Korn.

hmm,interesting. i'd like to know the story why he would join korn. I'm not a korn fan but i'm sure it will be an interesting listen if it is truly Terry that will be hitting the skins..

yeah, at first i was so shocked, maybe a little bit irritated about this news. i mean, naintindihan ko pa nung nag-session si Mike Bordin for korn eh.
but i guess, that's what great drummers do. much like what peeves pointed out to me, si Vinnie Colaiuta pala nagdrums sa Megadeth album na "The System Has Failed". kung papakinggan mo lang yung mga so ngs sa CD na yun, hindi mo mahuhulaan na si Vinnie pumalo kasi meytal na meytal eh..
a good session drummer, or a good professional drummer (period) must be able to look at all his gigs na pantay-pantay. it's not weather or not the band he or she will play for is up to standards with what he/she is used to. it's if the drummer can work with the band's sound and in a way make it his/her own without taking it from the band.
in other words, he has to fit in with the band. not the other way around. that's a great drummer for me...

how i wish it wont happen :-D
it would be nice if bozzio could influence korn, rather than blending with them. bozzio is a world class drummer and, forgive my sacrilege korn fans, korn is just a so-so band. its like if you heard one of their songs and you've heard them all.
no disrespect to david silveria, he's a solid drummer but korn as a whole is not that impressive. then again, who am i to say such things
for sure bozzio wont benefit from korn in terms musical improvement but the gig surely pays good

hmm.. OT ha.. kasi di ko magets fully yung ostinato. may makakapag-explain ba? Its a repeating pattern, but not necessary same na same ang gagawin. Kung sa drums, nagiiba dynamics? iba-iba yung hihit?

grabe tong si terry bozio at tong si dave weckl (ang next drummer ng limp bizkit) sinisira nila pangalan nila, naghihirap na ba sila para patulan yang mga yan, or maybe its really just for the money ? buti pa si matt cameron eh after break up ng soundgarden di basta basta pumatol i remember isa sa mga tinanggihan niya is smashing pumpkins dahil kakasipa lang din nila nun kay billy chamberlain...
pero alala ko dave weckl palyed for Madonna si Colaiuta naman kay Josh Groban, Lindsey Lohan, Hillary Duff, Michael Buble, Pussycat Dolls at Destiny's Child ehehe business is business :-D

@migs : ostinato bro tama pagkakaintindi mo. repeating pattern or phrase, can include dynamics

tawag diyan tunay na drummer. walang pakyeme. talagang mahal niya yung ginagawa niya which is playing the drums. wala siyang pakialam basta ginagawa niya yung gusto niya plus he earns A LOT doing what he loves.
anyway burnt out daw si david silveria so magpapahinga daw muna siya. napagod na din cguro.

yung video na pinost ko I believe si terry yung nasa left side nung stage. hindi ko masyado makita pero dw ung drums (most likely si terry yon). kung merong ibang mas malinaw, papost na din :-) Thanks!
