Yun.. dale tayo dun.. hmmm.. hindi pa ako naka experience nun.. at sana wag namang mangyare.. hehehe.. pero if ever.. i'll try to fix it.. yung kahit tipong maremedyohan lang para maka-usad ang tugtugan..

hangat maari iniiwasan ko makasira ng pedal or drum head or cymbals, hi hats etc.. during a gig. duoble check ko lahat bago tumugtog... sa madaling salita hindi pa ako nakaka sira during a gig.. sa practice pa lang.. lumipad na cymbals, nahulog na tom at naputol na pedal. :evil:

Lakasan ang volume ng bahista, and continue playing. Importante naman sa rock ang backbeat eh (e.g. snare). Nangyari samin dati sa Mile Long... the batter of the bass drum was ripped unplayable (as in it was ripped when I got to the stage), so medyo similar situation. What we did was just played a 45 minute set "softer" than usual.

Siguro kung kaya, play with the floor tom as a bass drum na lang.

ang hirap nun... siguro pabayaan mo nalang. sasaluhin nalang kayo ng band mates niyo. or pwede nalang pataasin yung volume ng bass guitar. wala na tayo magagawa dun. :-D

Sira pedal o bass drum?

Try playing time on the floor tom instead of hihats while keeping your left foot on two and four, or do quarter notes.
Play dynamically with floor tom by putting accents on the beat where bass drum is suppose to be. You can achieve this by playing far off center of the drum (near the rim) on the unaccented notes, then hit dead center on the accented. You can also lay a piece of cloth such as T-shirt on the floor tom to reduce resonance.
 
Add colors by hitting the bell of your ride cymbal and hihats once in a while just to compensate for the missing bass drum part. Depende 'to sa song na tinutugtog nyo kasi medyo mag iiba ang feel nung kanta.

You can try playing this way paminsan minsan pag practice para din ma develop yung independence/coordination ng mga limbs mo and hopefully, for you to develop original grooves and phrases.
