used to love them until ------- their song na "promise" as in idol ko sila lalo na si mong !!!!!! lalo na pag live ... pero patalo talaga ung bago nilang album. so sad ... i almost cried when i heard them play live with their new songs ... kasi ang panget na ... call it evolution of music pero their evolution sucked big time........ asan na ung glass is broken?? amen?? paris?? dance of one's and zero's ?? pinalitan na ng knives atbp .. feeling my chemical romance pa si miggy chavez kapikon.. .. my love for them has run out ....

used to be a fan nung revenge of the giant robot album (yeah soopafly and amen!!!), yung sa method of breathing, yung glass is broken lang yung medyo trip ko...moving to emo was a BAD move for them IMHO...
oh and yeah for those saying na astig sila pag live...di ako naastigan sa madumi tumugtog eh sorry...yung tipong papaikutin mo yung gitara at dahil dun sumisigaw na sa annoying feedback yung amp na cranked ng sobrang lakas. :|

we gotta give Mong a hand for showmanship, but their move to EMO was call of the times. yun yung "in" eh, and maybe they were sick of not being heard slash mainstream

Mong's guitarwork is the only thing that I listen to in their music.
Miggy brings in the token poseur element in that group. Just read his replies during interviews. The guy desperately tries to get music cred not by talent but sporting an obscurantist demeanor. In all of the interviews that I've read, there was never a single one that he didn't resort to name-dropping semi-obscure or obscure bands and artists.

Parang naadict sila sa chemical romance at tumagas yung pag kadik nila dun sa mga new compositions nila.
Promise, nung una akala ko chemical romance. Pero magaling pa rin. kahit nag iba ng genre.

Mong is a very talented player, i never liked the band ever since but when i first met mong when i fixed his rig bout 6 years ago i found out how talented he is. Chicosci is a product of 5 guys pitching in it doesnt reflect what mong can really do. yeah maybe thats their artistic direction ryt now as long as they are having fun thats a good thing. i guess they are not trying to please us (no one can ever please everyone anyway) they are just trying to have fun playing music and have a career at the same time. i dont think that they are forcing us to like them. trip nila yun di naman nila pinakikialaman trip natin eh.

ang masasabi ko naman, mabait yung bokalista nila, nung manalo sya sa videoke challenge sa GMA, bumili sya ng new guitar pra sa younger sister nya! :-D

Maybe it's because I know them as people, but I find nothing wrong with them. Their music lately is not much to my liking - I still prefer their Method of Breathing era. However, their sound now is where they want to go as a group; I won't fault their reasons because it's their band and it's their sound.

nakakaawa cla d dapat nila sinacrifice ang talent nla to be on limelight again dati sa una nla 2 albums ok pa naman cla d ko alam kung ano nakain ng mga taong ito at biglang nag emo well EMO SUCKS!

All I can I say is that chico sci finaly found their sound. (opinion)
When I firts heard them during the Hupaw-NuMetal days they always put melodic punkish stuff to their hard heavy songs
And when Paris came , I realize ayun na parang gusto na nila mag melow down ah
I also remember when they sound check I heard them play lines from Coheed and Cambria - Evrything Evil hmmm
Siguro nung 2003 ko yun narinig basta hindi pa USO yung EMO word-music sa Pinas. :-D.

Ito yung proof na gusto nila tugtugin yung mga gusto nilang banda.
Nag-soundcheck din sila ng Glassjaw songs at around the same time.
Lantad na lantad yung Glassjaw influence sa second album nila, kaya nung una kong pinakinggan yun sa may Tower dati, blech... wag na.
Ganun din naman ang ginawa ng Plane Divides the Sky around that time. Sa EP at first album nila, alam mo nang gustong magtunog Glassjaw yung banda, sinama pa yung Godzilla-philia ni Daryl Palumbo.
PERO aminado naman silang fans, natatandaan ko pa naka-GJ shirt pa si Alexis nung una silang tumugtog sa UP Fair e. At ngayon naman, medyo creative na rin ang tinatahak nilang musical direction (unless may kinokopya silang banda ngayon na hindi ko pa alam).
Hindi katulad ng Chicosci na kapag hinanay sa emo/post-hardcore, todo tanggi naman.

They're Ok, if u ask me... Kaso what pisses me off is that many of those who "appreciate" Chicosci sound are posers... Some of them call themselves Vampires even though Seven Black Roses lang ang lam nilang kanta ng chicosci...
I reckon 70% of the so called vampires don't know "Sink or Swim" and 50% of them don't know "Paris".
Subtopic... Kung bumalik ang Chicosci sa NU Metal, mawawala ba ang hatred nyo sa kanila.

I personally dont hate them, I just missed the old Chicoscience,. ang bilis din kasi nung Nu Metal-HUpaw days, iilan na lang sa kanila ang nagstick sa type of music they play. yung mga "vampires" kasi sunod sa uso,. kung anong napapanood sa mga music channels, yun na ang favorite nila, ina-idolized. lahat sasakay para maging cool at in.

Nakakatawa nga yang mga batang yan, lalo na yung mga babae, bampira raw sila. Tapos patay na patay kay Miggy at Mong, dahil kamukha raw ni Pete Wentz, etc. Eh hindi yata nila naabutan noong long hair pa yung dalawa (at nakadreads pa itong si Mong) at grabe kung maghuhupaw!

I don't find their current music to my liking as well. But I'm willing to hear where it will go - still, their current songs leave me a bit cold.
