Title: The Moeller Technique Thread
Post by: harugrugrug on June 10, 2007, 01:17:50 PM
hey guys.. dito niyo na isulat ang mga knowledge niyo about this..
dame kasi nagtatanung.. kaya pag may nagtanung.. irefer niyo dito sa
thread na ito...
moeller technique was invented by that moeller guy.. forgot his 1st name,sorry..
and this guy taught jim chapin the technique.. jim chapin is the only guy who knows the proper execution of this technique when moeller died.. ayun..
moeller thechnique is about whipping motion of the sticks.. when u gain the facility of this technique.. you can play 3 to 4 strokes evenly in one whip stroke... 1 wrist stroke tpos ung motion ng kamay mo iguguide ung 2 bounce...
with the downstroke ba un? kasi baliktad terminology nila... bsta parang whip..
di ko alam kung paano iexplain tlaga tong technique e.. i'm not good in explaining... hehe.. pass ko na sa iba... anyone? sir Dio? hehe.. hope this background info helps..

Moeller method/technique  :-D

Si Sanford Moeller yung nagturo kay Jim Chapin kung pano gawin  :-D

Iba to sa bounce technique.. Dapat hand/wrist motion rin yung 2nd & 3rd stroke  :-D

Mahirap gawin pero pag natutunan very helpful to  :-D

try ko din magshare:

ung first motion, un ung whip-like which is generated from the elbow, although an easier way to look at it is leading with your wrist. the second fundamental stroke is the tap, which is literally a tap. the last is the release, which is like a tap and upstroke. habang pataas arm mo, to make the next whip, a tap can still be generated by the wrist or fingers. so whip+tap+release = 3 strokes in a single motion. more strokes can be made by increasing the number of taps.
sometimes, pull-out accents din tawag dun, lalo na kapag 2 strokes lang= tap then the whip motion (accent) then tap then accent.. etc..
hope this helps!

tap nga xia.. sir kasi kung bounce... u just let ur stick fall...
pag tap.. control mo pa din ung stick.. kakaobserve ko lang ngayon
sa aking pad... kasi ung dalawang taps e control pa din ng wrist..
u just position ur hand para ,matap mo xia..
ayun.. kasi pag ginawa mo ung one handed roll...
wrist tap din xia, same with the roots of moeller..
ayun...
