Title: ...beginner...
Post by: cattey on November 07, 2007, 01:24:46 PM
Hi..

I'm really new at this. I just got inspired by my friends who told me I have a potential since i can get good angles. I still don't have my own camera (well, i have one but my mom keeps it). here are some of my samples. I hope to get your comments and tips to improve my shots.

Btw, i use Panasonic DMC-FX07 and planning to buy a new one. Can you suggest a good but cheap digital camera? (cheap... since im just new at this and i don't think i can be a professional photographer hehehe!)

I don;t know how to call this... these were the only set of flowers from this tree and they sit on top of it :)

Ur shots are ok but you must know what to shoot and compose them in the frame properly. i guess you must learn basic photography first before buying a new digital cam. Old Film SLR cameras are cheap already and easy to learn than point and shoot digicams. caution lang, mejo tiring and expensive magpadevelop pag na adik ka. Just remember compose your subject, expose properly and simplify then shoot!

salamat po! i'll keep that in mind. nasa sementeryo kse ako nyan kaya puro sky  :-D chaka mababa lang zoom ng cam.

her name is Derdz of the band Lithium AmeDi.  took this with a point and shoot, 3MP kodak easy share.  ginamitan ko sya ng flood light instead of the flash then photoshopped to death.  :-D

digital cameras (point and shoot) are cool, yun nga lang most of point and shoots won't let you learn about apertures and shutter speeds, limitado kasi ang control mo dito.  tapos ang hirap pa kumuha pag gabi, pag concerts, or parties. I think if you have a reliable point and shoot right now, then stick with it muna, see how far you can go with it's features, for now composition at pagkuha ng angles ang madedevelop, well mas maganda sana kung may Viewfinder yung digicam.

I guess it's almost about time for me to graduate from this camera and get a digital SLR para mas matuto pa ako, kaso walang budget. I think I'll follow dayuhanspace's advice and get a good old SLR.

Search the internet to teach you the rule of 3rds. Yun ang basic, or you can even search youtube for photography lessons. Makakatulong din yun sayo kahit papaano. Pero ang the best is take a basic photography lesson.

you can browse my shots here:

www.jehy.multiply.com

sa folder po na my shots pati sa black and white po..

took some photos there using only my cam phone.

Can anyone please share their knowledge po.

I have 2 SLR cameras here, a Canonet QL17 and a Yashika Electro 35 which was given to me years ago by my ex, since I love taking photos I took one of them sa Photoline since yun yung malapit samin, tinatamad pang dumayo kasi sa hidalgo eh ahehe, general cleaning lang daw yun, and yung battery kasi nung Canonet madali pang mahanap, on the other hand, yung Yashika kasi uses a 5.6V na battery la akong mahanapan na ganun.
