to me, the sense of hearing.
i appreciate it more. it gives me goosebumps when i hear wonderful drumming.

both sakin. kasama na yung maganda pakingan at maganda tignan :)

definitely hearing... like sir toybitz, I get that certain feeling when I hear drummers "strut" their stuff.. :D
-
HEARING... yun na... :-D
-
Hearing for me too. Because our craft concerns the sound, naturally we could appreciate what we hear more rather than what we see or feel.
-
I appreciate both senses.
Hearing is essential, of course. As musicians, our ears are very important.
In regards to seeing... I'm a visual person. I'm the kind of person who's able to pick up and learn just by watching (either live or on video). So, to be able to see how one drummer does his/her licks and tricks is important to me.

yesterday, I was reminded how visually and sonically entertaining the Master Vinnie is, plus Dennis Chambers...
so I guess to me, it depends....
but most of the time, hearing pa din.
I'd like to close my eyes and savor the onslaught or the serenity the drummer brings into the music.

to me it's both but more on hearing... I've been drumming for 8 years now and most of what I've learned are from listening to all kinds of music. but visual is also important because sometimes it helps me find out how drummers do it... ehehe... in addition to visual... I sometimes add a little trickery to my drumming because it can also be entertaining ehehehe...
