pasok na sa budget mo ang Nikon D80.
Kung gusto mo puwede ka din mag D40x, mas mura sya para makabili ka pa ng external flash & lens

for body and lens na ba yan?
kung body lang...
for nikon, suggest ko d80.
for canon, 40d or used 30d.
kung lens included, well, you can get the kit lenses na din and maybe another lens for low light (ie 50mm f1.8 since it's pretty damn cheap and has real good quality na din.
or you can also get the nikon d40/x or canon 400d if you really wanna get a lens better than the kit lens. but brand new, it'll cost you around 20k din at least.
also, canon has 6 or 12 months installments 0% interest now kung magccard ka.
of course, you can buy second hand sa pinoyphotography.org for some real great deals. everything i own except for my camera body is second hand and i've saved a crap load.
oh and i vote canon. hehe :)

i suggest, get a cam with a built in motor.
yun din pag sisisi ko sa D40 ko. sa forums ang daming used na lens na binebenta, di ko mabili dahil di naman mag AF sa cam ko.
pero kung ok lang sayo mag manual focus, ok na din D40. or D60 pa nga.
32k ata ng D60 sa hidalgo.

What do you exactly mean by that sir? :-) That is a DSLR Camera..
These are cameras that are priced for consumers (or at least for very interested hobbyists) and yet could easily be used professionally due to high quality / large number of features / expandability and so on.
And ohh, I'm letting this go for only 35K, well very slightly negotiable :wink:
Forgot to mention, this is a 9MP DSLR..

:-D If I'm not mistaken, if a camera has a Single Reflex Lens, then that camera has to be a SLR or if it's digital then it's a DSLR..
It's quoted in the review that "Fujifilm today announces the launch of the FinePix S9000/S9500 Zoom, a new model that marks the point where compact digital cameras and digital SLRs meet."
It means it meets the qualification of a Digital SLR.. :-D
And ohhh about the "Prosumer" Thingy?
"Prosumer" is a word often used about cameras (or other gear) that is targetted for sale to people on the border line between being consumers and professional users.
Examples include the Canon EOS 10D / 300D digital SLR cameras (and Nikon 's D70/D100 etc)
So you mean these cameras aren't DSLR's?

uhm i think cameras like that with long range zoom but no interchangeable lens are called "superzooms"
this s9500 is SLR-like or SLR approached....but its in a different category from those of the canon400d, nikon d80, etc.

im sure the "dslr" bro tejaster is talking about are those of the same category with cameras like the canon 400d,40d,nikon d80,d40, etc. ung mga napapalit ung lens. thats the connotation of the term "dslr" naman eh.

to the thread starter go for Canon 450D or a second hand 30D but of course if you will buy a second hand unit better ask someone who has a better knowledge in buying 2nd hand units lots of things to consider when buying 2nd hand units... my advice just ask yourself several times before you will buy a DSLR (interchangeable lense) coz hindi biro ang gastos dito compare sa guitar gears.... just my 2 clicks!
Regards to S9500 is a good camera same as Canon S3IS and so on but you are limited to those camera.

May bag ba na kasama? Just want to know, naghahanap kasi yung friend ko. Tumitingin sya ng Canon G9. Better pa din ang S9500 kesa sa G9, madumi kasi sya sa mataas na ISO and may shutter lag.

Definitely, the S9500 does have the functions and LOOKs LIKE a DSLR... But, a DSLR's most basic function is what the S9500 lacks. It is that DSLRs use a mirror to reflect the light coming through the lens to a pentaprism, for you to be able to view the subject in the viewfinder. When you press the shutter, the mirror flips up to reveal the sensor that records the image through the lens. This is what makes the mechanical sound whenever you press the shutter. Not the electronic click which the S9500 produces.
The S9500 doesn't have a mirror or pentaprism. It uses an electronic viewfinder for you to view the subject through the lens. And thus, it cannot be classified as a DSLR.
Hope this clears up the confusion... :-)

ito naman tampo agad...good decision of getting the Canon 450D...kilalanin mo muna camera mo before buying accessories...ganda kit lens niyan with IS...

Go with nikon pareeeee. hehe a Nikon D60 with fit the budget, i think. it's one notch higher than a D40x and one notch lower than D80

pwede installment sa henry's sa hidalgo kung bpi ang card mo pwede mo ipalit ng s.i.p. maliit lang ang interest mas makakamura ka pa rin compared sa camera haws or ibang shops sa mall :-) pareho namang may warranty and freebies.. :-)

I know why. Ubos na Canon 450D. They're pushing for the D60 kasi hinahanap ng tao D40 at 450D. Walang stocks na mga yan. D60 naiwan.

I use Nikon & to tell you the truth Nikons have dreamy effects on pictures (parang orton effect) on higher ISO's Nakagamit na din ako ng Canon 5D, Canon 40D, Nikon D40, D40X, D60 and D300. Na compare ko lang. Pero talagang mas malinis ang high ISO ng Canon kaya lang maganda talaga ang colors ng Nikon. Hindi din naman ako gaano kumukuha ng madilim pero a cleaner ISO is a big plus (and naka 2.8 lens din naman ako.). :-D

D40 and 55 200 VR na lens yung mga shots ko sa multiply...malinis din yung 40D sa high iso pero some people still prefer D300 over 40D because of cleaner images sa high iso's...
