Personally I do not believe in backmasking and I find it as a horrible excuse for telling kids the evils of rock music. Unless of course there are songs that are intentionally made to be heard in reverse.
although id love to hear your thoughts.

Reminds me of that little nicky (adam sandler) scene. These 2 metalheads were trying to impress satan's son with the backmasked songs they've discovered. Then little nicky whips out an old Chicago record, and plays it in reverse. :lol:

i tried backmasking our records, trip lang, wala namang sense in reverse, and pinagtripan ko pa lalo nung naka resampled (yung tataas yung pitch, parang sa laruan na cellphone ng bata, mayayay your my little buttefly.. ganun hehe, tapos nakabackmask ew! anu to??!?! wahahaha :lol:

Madaming backmasking issue sa mga kanta ng beatles. mga hidden message daw na nagbibigay ng clue na patay na si paul mccartney. simple lang yan, pinatugtog ng pabaliktad yung kanta, yung boses nagkaron ng katunog na salita na ginawang issue at sineryoso ng iba.

Christian ako ngunit hindi ako naniniwala sa backmasking. Lahat nalang ng kanta na sumikat eh sinasabihang may subliminal messages. Tsk tsk tsk...
At napaka-lame approach ang negative campaigning via backmasking para i-promote ang Christianity.
Naniniwala ako dun sa isang post dito sa thread na nagsasabing sa una wala ka naman talagang maririnig, pero kapag hinanap mo, meron. Malaamang ang mga nagpauso nun mismo eh hindi lang basta-basta nadiskubre yun, hinanap talaga nila.
Madaming backmasking issue sa mga kanta ng beatles. mga hidden message daw na nagbibigay ng clue na patay na si paul mccartney. simple lang yan, pinatugtog ng pabaliktad yung kanta, yung boses nagkaron ng katunog na salita na ginawang issue at sineryoso ng iba.
sa "revolution #9"..."number 9" in reverse is "turn me on, dead man"...tapos meron pa silang hidden track sa sgt. pepper's, yung "inner groove"...nalimutan ko na kung ano sinasabi nila sa regular version, pero kapag binaligtad mo, maririnig mo "we'll f**k you like we're Superman", o "will Paul come back as Superman?" :lol:
to answer the question, backmasking is all hype...it's anything you want to imagine the backwards lyrics to be...though some coincidences can be creepy...
for example, play one line from mutiny's "ibaon mo sa limot" in reverse...the line "sino bang nababaliw, ako ba o ikaw?" when played in reverse sounds like "ako'y nababaliw, ikaw din!" :-o then there's "stairway to heaven" played backwards...in all fairness some of the alleged backwards lyrics sound accurate, but again...just a creepy coincidence, IMHO. :-D

back masking -- oo syempre, madali lang gawin yan saka proven na kaya mong magback mask ng tapes and other formats, esp. with today's technology
however, yung words na madecipher mo from backmasking -- very subjective. You can hear whatever YOU WANT to hear from there. Stuff to scare kids from wasting their parent's hard earned money on records :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hindi na backmasking yun. Ang tawag dun propaganda.
Ang messages an nakatago sa signal ng tape, "subliminal messages." It *may* be scientifically possible.
Backmasking in recorded music is a recording technique in which a sound or message is recorded backward onto a track that is meant to be played forward. Basically like what the Beatles used to do, and which can be replicated in certain delay pedals. Any effect on the human mind by a signal played in reverse is questionable.

when i was in highschool trinyk oi back mask yung record namin nung band ko tapos change the tempo a little bit ... i actually liked the result pero wala akong naintindihan and i tried to play the thing on my acoustic guitar bali reverse yung riff pati yung strumming ehehhehhehe.. :-D i thin k its part of human behavior pero sabi sa mga psych class ko tsaka sa literature class ko ( lyrics are part of literature right?) that we may be only hearing what we want to here.. naalala niyo ba minsan that napapakanta tayo sa kanta kahit hindi natin alam yung lyrics hehehhe..(misheard lyrics) :-D

Note: This backmasking is practically moot in this age of digital music.
This has been going on for so long. I did attend a "seminar" on this and in the end of it, I was asked to be "born again". I don't have anything against Christians, I am just saying what happened.
As a musician, I find it totally impossible to "compose" a backmasking phrase in a song. There is no technology available to imprint voices that can be heard in reverse.
And lastly, my brain is not that advance to listen to something backwards, think about it. :lol:

As a musician, I find it totally impossible to "compose" a backmasking phrase in a song.
its actually so easy to that.
Have you seen videos of bands singing the entire song forward, with the video going backwards?
they learn how to sing the song in reverse by reciting the reverse phonetics.
so it is fairly easy to compose a song the other way around.
In the song "Milky Way" for Maskobado Groove that I recorded in our project studio, the guitar solo was learned in its reverse, was recorded reverse, then was flipped over so that labas nya parang backmasking ang guitar solo.
You can apply the same concept with vocals... and just about any other musical instrument as well.

The technology is readily available everywhere... any DAW or audio editing software can easily insert a reversed recorded phrase into a song, even go as far as add melody to the phrase and make it match the backing track precisely to the pitch and blend.

wishing many have read the book of Jeff Godwin. I have read it and there's no reason for me not to believe it because the Artist themselves admitted it. before they released their albums, they undergo rituals, madami na nga ngayon hayagan na ang blasphemy, they are not hiding it anymore..

Here is what happens when you trip with the #9.something creepy came up while I recorded number 9 a couple of times.as you can hear in the background my kids are talking . while i was annotating number 9 the first word that came from my youngest kid was " Ang ingay" then my eldest son butted in "enough" and the younger one said "wag ingay". if you'll play it backwards (minus the "turn me on dead man ) the words that came from my kids were : 1. let me up 2. I bleed 3. I need back.

In the first place why the agony kung pwede mo namang straight na sabihin sa kanta mo yung mga 'subliminal message' mo? mas marami pang nakaintindi.
Kung magbabackmask ng boses, definitely may phonetics. May syllables and words na binabanggit, so pag pinagbaligtad mo yun, makakarinig ka din ng syempre syllables and words ibs nga lang ang pagkakaarrange, hence the obscure sounds or words.
