meron ba fans si RF dito?sure syempre meron. :lol:
trip na trip ko siya ngayon along with Carlon.
Swabe yung mga vids nila sa youtube...ganda rin ng guitar collection niya,sobrang daming guitar.lagi nageexperiment sa tunog... tele,les paul,335,L-5,meron pa signature model na fender...lahat na ata natry niya pero lahat bagay sa kanya.

love his stuff to death. loving every minute of "truth".
his tone there seems to be softer, his touch, sweeter, and his lines, complex but ear friendly.
gimme some of those rf lines 8-)

Does anyone here heard/have yellowjackets' first album? If your an RF fanatic,this is a "must have"! Killer lines,and the tone? You said it,mismo!!!

ah...na download ko na..... I was expecting a lot of robben's guitar parts....bitin na bitin ako..... then I realized.....well it's not robben ford band. Let me know if you know of any other album na robben ford ....yung early years nya...na nagjajazz pa sya. thanks in advance parekoy.

i was fortunate to watch a gig of his a year and a half ago.
utol nya ang drummer nya. galing talaga, at mauumay ka sa tamis ng tunog nya. straight ahead ang approach...ang galing ng touch.
it wasn't the regular robben ford lineup, he had a keyboard player and a 2nd guitarist from germany. dont remember the bass player and his drummer was his brother nga.
first time ko nakakita ng zendrive pedal. i believe he was using a super reverb na sa tingin ko ung nababalita na modify ni dumble.

the second guitarist from germany must be volker strifler.
man, you should hear him, he's pretty good. i'm loving his solo album, hes a mix of srv and charlie christian, and he's got very singable and catchy tunes.
heres a vid with him and the ford band (with robben of course, more singing here than playing here). volker, imho, is uber duper talented. he takes the last solo here. chris cain is awesome too :-)

funny thing is, I was introduced to robben ford's music by a non-fan non-guitarist beatbox loving break dancing dude in Los Angles who'd swear timberlake is the new elvis :-D while he jostles through stacks of cds in his quest to sample me his electronic music he stumbled upon an almost virgin copy of an early 90's release. i am not a big blues fan but even my 11 yr old is now a convert with Riley B King on his ipod.

I love the tone of the brown les paul-ish guitar! Humbucking quack ito!!! Minimalist pero sarap pakinggan, pano kaya matututunan yung ganung approach?
