I'd still pay for original CDs especially the ones that are hard to find here and of course local artists. Though the prices outside can realy burn a hole i your pocket they are still an investment for me since I really enjoy collecting original CDs. My usual gauge for buying an original CD is if I really dig the artist and/or if I like 4 or more tracks from a certain album.  :-)

On my opinion??? Hmmm... I think it depends yan sa katayuan mo sa buhay... For those na nasa higher level ung life masasabi nilang bibili sila ng original album and dun naman sa mga lower level siyempre magtitiyaga na lang sila dun sa download... Sa sitwasyon ko naman e I like to buy the original syempre to support dun sa gumawa and for collection purpose din... So I think from then you should know my answer... hehehe... (pinahaba pa e noh???) peace...

Yes,

Pag trip ko talag yung artist like sandwich or si rico blanco. I use it as a means to somehow support the artist I really dig.

Original CD --> Php 75 to Php 1k and up
Pirated CD --> Php 15 to Php 50 pagmagaling mamirata probably mas mahal
Download --> Free to Php 15 pag may bayad ang pagdownload lalo pag Dollar ang price baka mas mahal.

To be practical, kung anu ang mura at possible na makalibre. Hahaha!

Pepper's," "Dark Side of the Moon" o "Kind of Blue" o yung mga re-mastered at 180g series.

Money wise, medyo mahal. Pero madalas na ang sale ngayon. Pag me gusto ka, di mo kelangan bilhin ngayon. Pwede later.

Sabi nga ni Eric Clapton: "You don't choose music, music chooses you."

Rakenrol!

as an artist....
and if ever i have the enough money... yes.
last album i bought is Wrath by Lamb of God

respect and support lang to the artists that work their *ss off to just give their fans/followers that album... from that single ink spent on one letter off of the inlay to the pressing, release and distribution... to the middlemen.. gigs and promotion....

i think this is one of those questions that set artists apart from enthusiasts.

reality bites; with today's world, it is convenient and economical.
and i won't deny the fact that i buy pirated CD's or download songs.

pero this question is the same answer why the Mainstream scene is sooooo overrated.

no offense meant. Just trying to speak my mind.

Uu nman..why not..pero depende...If i really like the artist...ciempre pag idol ko..bibilhin ko orig, at depende pa rin pag may money..hehe..
Tsaka siempre, not all lyrics ng songs can be found online, so..ksama un sa orig kea aun lang reason ko para bumili din orig..ehehehe

Pero most of the time,  nagdodownload na lang me ng songs since It's much practical nman sa mga panahong ito...ehehehe

well...sa kin, if i find the artist really good...bibilhin ko. Talent kc un e, sayang effort if we won't support them sa pinaghirapan :)

Although...if u want to refrain from buying kc medyo tight budget..I think it's okay. Blessed din ung artist kc kahit papano pinaghirapan mong hanapin at i-download kanta nya. Effort is priceless..that means he is good. And in a way, you're still supporting him kc you're listening to his songs :)

For international bands, download first then buy if I like or can afford it.

For local bands, I'd definately go out and buy.

i learned to respect artists who struggle to do something they love and share it with people...
then how would you earn money if you were an artist ?......just keep looking for gigs? hindi palagi sineswerte ang musicians minsan walang wala talaga

sabagay we're just consumers

bale wala naman satin talaga yung gastos at hirap sa pag produce ng isang album...mula sa pagiisip ng kanta, pag rerehearse ng mga kanta hangang sa irecord ito at pag sama samahin...think of all the time consumed, hours and hours

tapos pa download download nalang ang mga internet geeks in minutes...get it? of course not....

i thought about this nun mag tanka ako mag negosyo ng cd burning and downloading business...nakokonsensya talaga ko kasi musikero rin ako

sana lang hindi dumating yung time na pag gusto mong marinig ang isang artist, kailangan mo pa talagang sundan ang mga gigs nila o i-hire sila...they gotta play everything live para lang kumita...kase wala na magiisip gumawa ng cd or mag record..sayang lang ang time and effort, wala naman sila mapapala...
