Recording Acoustic Guitar
« on: April 15, 2017, 11:48:52 AM »
hi group,

tama ka sa lahat. improving your noise floor means upgrading your studio isolation, a better mic and interface.

post ka sample wav

i used to record with a pair of behringer c2, taas ng noise floor

then a pair of superlux pra628 or 638 condensers, much better noise floor

then rode nt4 - yun na, jabonga! nawala yung noise at parang 3d yung tunog ng acoustic

nag sm81 pair din ako for a short time, they were fine but the rode nt4 was more coherent and the guitar sounded like 1 instrument instead of the weird spaced effect we get when we mic two separate parts of the guitar.

presonus firestudio project yung interface

bali mas magandang investment mic muna? sobrang ganda siguro ng 3d sounding...

'you get what you pay for' nga siguro yung c1

You can cancel some of the noise with plugins, kagaya sa reaper i use "reafir" to remove noise. Satisfied naman ako.

Pero siyempre mas maganda yung better studio and gear kaso mas mahal haha. Sa ngayon diskarte lang talaga.
