USB 2.0 detected as USB 1.1

bakit ganon pag sinasaksak ko external hdd namin, nadedetect niya as usb 1.1 kaya sobrang bagal ng file transfer rate pero sigurado ako na usb 2.0 ang pinagsasaksakan ko?

may kinalaman kaya ang Vista rito? :-)

di ba pag lumalabas yung "This device can perform faster...blah blah"? it means na luma yung usb so usb 1.1 siya? hehe di kasi ako masyadong marunong sa mga ganyan eh  :-)

sure ka ba na usb 2.0 rin yung port mo? kasi wlang kwenta yung 2.0 speed ng external hdd mo kung 1.1 lang yung usb ports ng pc mo

hindi lalabas yung this "device can perform faster..." yung kung hindi usb 1.1 ang sinaksakan mo... so malamang hindi usb 2.0 ang iyong usb port...

- if you're motherboard is not that new well bili ka nalang ng usb pci expansion card... para hindi ka na kelangan mag upgrade to a new motherboard...  :-)

- if you're using a usb pci expansion card baka driver update lang ang kelangan... lalo na vista ang gamit mo...

:-) hindi mo kasi makikita kung usb 2.0 or 1.1 ang gamit mo sa system... sa manual lang ng motherboard mo makikita kung ano meron ka...

windows update o update mo yung usb drivers mo lalo ng kung XP gamit mo :-)

maraming motherboard manufacturers na cnasabi USB 2.0 lahat ng ports ng product nila... pero USB 1.1 pa rin pala sa front panel, sa likod lang 2.0! Buwiset!

yun may nakita ako na same problem din nung nagsearch ako sa google...parehas rin kami ng motherboard ang problem lang xp yung sa kanya so paano re-install yung usb driver namin?

ser hindi mo rereinstall yung USB drivers, update mo lang sya.

control panel>system>device driver then under UNIVERSAL serial bus cntrollers clik mo lng yung gus2 mo i-update yung driver. :-)

bumili na rin ako ng PCI USB 2.0 card pero hindi pa din gumagana 

ayaw magdetect ng devices

Go to your BIOS sa board press delete during boot up... then enable USB 2.0 support... Just explore... exit and save...
