This is our new Yamaha sub kick mic built by Shinji from a kiddie drum shell and an NS10 speaker.  It was used in the upcoming DUSTER album :)

i mean hindi kailangang mag impedance matching or other 'etching' para maikabit sa mixer?

follow up question: 12" versus 8" speaker

nakarinig ako ng samples ng diy subkicks pero usually mas maganda yung naririnig ko kung 8" ang gamit (yung tunog synthesized bass talaga ginagamit sa cars) as opposed to dun sa parang kapos na puff  (imagine "i'll huff and and puff and blooow your house down") na nakukuha nung bigger speakers.

my rationale: you need less air to move an 8" cone than a 12" cone. baka kaya mas maganda response nung 8" e dahil nga less area to excite.
