sorry I can't be much help, technically... but I'd like to comment.

Nice stickers, it looked to serve as binding on the body.

I think 50K, imo, is high since its an 85 production, Gibby LPs were a lot less then.
Tele bought 20K. Upgraded pots.  FS: 30K  Trade Value BS: 85K.  Deal tayo?

you can get a brand new gibson LP studio with 50k.

what does your friend mean by "original PAF"? a pickup from the 50's? because i'm not sure if the original PAFs were available in 4-conductor wiring.

i think mahal din to for 50k, usually mas mura ang market value nung mga dot inlayed na studios, mas desirable kasi yun trapezoid inlays

I dont think PAF's came in 4 conductor wiring either.. I wouldnt pay that much for a Gibson with a silkscreened logo, an undbound neck & body, and chrome hardware.. But that's just me. :)

A colleague offered his black 1985 Gibson Les Paul Studio for 50K.
He says the neck & bridge pickups are original Gibson PAF which can be split to single coils.
Neck is straight but fret life is down to about 70%
Comes with orig Gibson hardcase.

Older photo before he put star stickers:

I need your opinion on the following:
1. Is it a good deal?
2. I read some reviews of current production LP Studios but can't find info on the 1985 productions.  What's the difference?  Which one is better: this 1985 model or the current?

Any info on this is highly appreciated.  :-)

50K for this..if you like it buy it..

since its made in usa...it has magic
