« on: August 03, 2009, 04:22:00 PM »

Which "bilog"?

The big dirty-white felt inside is the muffler of your snare's tone control. Simply remove the batter head, then glue it back on. If you don't use the tone control, then unscrew and remove the whole assembly. Mas hassle i-retain yang thingamajig na yan, in my opinion.

Yung small white "bilog" naman, are the tension rod washers. They're starting to split, if tama ang nakikita ko. Look for similarly sized washers (kahit metal) and replace 'em.

nadale mo tol.

Yung tone control muffler is OLD SCHOOL. Most snares don't have that na. It actually serves the same purpose as adding tape to your snare head, using O-rings, or putting Moongel to eliminate unwanted overtones or muffle the sound a bit.

Since may other ways naman to muffle sound, I'd suggest na tanggalin mo na lang.

More parts = More parts that can break.

thanks for clearing things. haha hirap talaga kapag hindi drummer hehe.
