quick trick for small pubs...
 a 2 min jam making sure the guitars are leveled wt the snare, and the kick leveled wt the bass... ...... most house  p.a.'s in most pubs are leveled just above the drum mix.... so your good to go wt this

the biggest mistake would be cranking your instrument and expecting (or mandating) the tech to give you more volume on the mics.... it will never happen you'll just have learn to mix you own level behind the house P.A.... ganun  talaga mga brad....

and please magtono bago sumampa... fine tuning nalang pag akyat sa stage
