Question regarding my phone and its external memory

ok... I have this n73 thats gonna be given o me and I am wondering, the box said that I can only expand its external memory card upto 2 gig, but I want to put in like 8 gig of space, my question is that , if I do this, will it affect the phone in a negative way? or the worse case... gets destroyed?

I don't think the n73 supports mini SDHC's (SD High Capacity) - which means you can't use the SDHC 4GB and 8GB cards.. 2GB is the biggest regular SD capacity, as far as I know.

ah ok ok,but what happens if i like try it on other phones? like their capacity is 1 gb, can i insert like 2gb or 4gb??
