Studio Bass Drum Sound
« on: November 04, 2009, 08:39:34 PM »
After months of reading guides and experimenting with my bass drum.. I still couldn't get that studio bass drum sound. Grabe. Nakaka frustrate mga sir. Haha! Overall, my kit sounds good pag recordings except lang talaga sa bass drum. Any tips on how to get this sound out of the bass drum?

Here's my bass drum's setup

Yamaha Gig Maker 22x16 Bass Drum

Batter: Clear Powerstroke 3
Reso: Clear Powerstroke 3 with 4" Port Hole
Like felt vs plastic vs wood?

Thanks!

sir, 1 time. Nagtry akong magmix ng drums sa Sonar 5.

And mas napaganda ko yung tunog niya, nacompress ko, and marami pang mga ginawang kung ano-ano.
So, my point is, baka tinimpla pa ng mas maganda yung tunog.

meron din kasing mga software plug-in na ginagamit while mixing like Drumagog
