im sure there are a lot of veteran "mechanicos" out there so here goes.... HHHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!
i would like to replace my stock fender stratocaster mim (11-hole) sss pickguard with either a black one or a tortoise-shell one. anyway, got a few questions before i venture to take my beloved axe apart:
1. will any after-market 11-hole pickguard for strat "drop-in" or fit exactly my fender strat mim, without having to modify my axe (heaven forbid!) or the new pickguard?
2. are there any other important issues (cosmetic/technical) that i have to consider before buying a new pickguard to fit onto my fender strat mim?
3. do you know where i can get a black or tortoise-shell pickguard that can fit my fender strat mim?
after reading the above questions, im sure you have already guessed that i am a total newbie at modifying axes so...HHHEEELLLPPP!
