Problem with double pedals
« on: November 22, 2009, 02:33:54 AM »
My GF bought me a pair of Gibraltar Prowlers for my birthday.. I'm slowly learning how to use them, but there's a bit of a problem.. The beaters swing back too far (for my preference) and actually sometimes, if i pull up my feet too fast, the back of the beaters strike the top of my right foot! (aray..) Adjusting the tension springs doesn't really change the return angle. Is there anything I can do other than take the thing apart and reset the beaters on an angle closer to the drumhead?

yung bolt po sa taas ng spring assembly, luwagan mo yun tapos tsaka mo adjust beater angle then sikipan mo ulit.. :)

oo nga... sa beater angle yan eh..

i had the same problem w/ my friends gibraltar double peds

sa sobrang tilted ng beater tumatama na siya sa paa ko ( at oo masakit na, hindi na nakakatuwa )

just make sure na mahigpit yung pagka adjust mo kung hindi, walang kwenta din yung effortsmo

Sorry to be so ignorant, pero i tried removing the bolt where the tension spring is connected to the axle, but the axle is "D" shaped kaya di pwedeng adjust via the bolt. Do i have to take it apart all the way up to where the axle turns into a hexagonal cross section? hirap din timingan ng kick kasi ang layo ng travel niya para pumalo.. Thanks people for your help!

sa prowler po i believe magkasama na yung pag adjust ng footboard height sa beater angle, so pag inadjust mo yung beater angle kasama gagalaw yung footboard mo and there's nothing you can do about it.. :) btw, hindi mo po kailangan alisin yung bolt, luwagan mo lang then ayusin mo na yung beater angle..

Ganyan na as assembled from the box. I increased tension in the springs and that helped a bit, but i still hope i can figure out how to get the beaters closer to the head when at rest..

pictures would really help in this case.

tulad po ng sabi nila, pwedeng mataas ang beater mo, effect nun malayo talaga ang distance nung beater from the head.
matututo kaya ako magdrums? kelan kaya iyon...
