I have one. Gorgeous Multi, way warmer than zoom.

Just buy a 9volt wallwart, open it then rip out the rectifier-filter section and presto you have a 9vac adaptor.

Tom, I'll snap a pic of my "converted" wallwart .

You can also buy a 220-primary 9v secondary transformer and put that in case, put a crown plug cable on the 9volt side and an ac plug on the 220v side. Presto again :-D

Alternatively you can go to murillo or numeroh unoh or whoever makes PSU's and ask them to make you a 9VAC adapter. They'll be delighted (Its a lot easier than making regulated PSU's).

One adjective lang : it's warm. Maybe it approaches a Korg AX5G from my memory of it.

Hirap lang gamitin, takes some getting used to coz it doesnt have the Bling-bling of a zoom or what not.

Oh, the distortions are pretty useless except for the Tube Screamer emulator. But that's me of course. The modulations are to die for tho.

i have a korg ax5G ,korg ax1000g and my cousin has the korg ax30G..and out of the 3 the ax1000G was more usable..

for the art extreme to my ears is closer to the old digitech floor based multifx's...not the korg AX5G

I repaired a Digitech RP50, and I recall wretching as I went through its patches.

I don't recall wretching over the ART tho. She was fat. Too fat for my tastes pa nga e :=D

but between the two ART and KORG ax5G, definitely ART..

korg ax5g's delays and dirt wasnt that satisfying..

the digitech i was talking about is the RP21 and RP7's..those had better dirt than even my dod tech4x and dod GS30

Yeah that thing is kinda under-rated din ano...

Maybe it's not that popular because of its requirement for an ac power supply, making it pedalboard-incompatible.

sound-wise it was underrated but delivered for me a really good studio and live sound..especially my rp7..only thing i didnt like was banking with it, i could feel it choke..which wasnt noticeable in live situations..it had a tube..i didnt care for tubes back then..but i knew it has one..its still probably in my closet in pinas..but some of the switches doesnt work(plastic switches then ended up breaking), i think my cousins rp21 was better at banking, choosing between patches doesnt feel like the pedal was choking at all..

i guess because of negros's inconsistent power flow back then (spikes and stuff), i fried a couple of multifx's live and studio..i saw two of dod multifx gave up in front of me..

@TS..if you have a good amp, the ART will be useful..

Here.

It was an ordinary, adjustable wallwart, maybe I bought this from Deeco. Should have cost around 150 bux. Note that it looks kinda hollow.

Then I gutted it and removed the rectifier and cap pcb, leaving only the transformer behind. I wired the original cable and plug to the 0 and 9 volt output of the transformer.

That's all there is to it. A 9VAC wallwart is just a transformer converting 220vac to 9vac.

Hope that helps.

its better that you bring that pedal with you and try some amps..back when i tried the art extreme myself it was plugged to a marshall valve state and it sounded nice,
