you said it, but a guy in another forum told me not to buy anything from guitar fetish (the neovin) because of cheap parts but i disagreed on the gfs units. They had a lot of good reviews from what i've read...

yep, i heard a lot of good reviews about gfs pickups.

my bandmate made a diy something like that. it works naman sa kanya. di ko lang nagustuhan kasi it sounded more of an OD than a booster.

kung naging clean boost lang sana yun. another thing i hate with his diy is the drilling thing. he drilled a by-pass switch on top of his pickguard. ayaw ko kasi ng nagdi-drill sa guitar kaya di ko nagusthan talaga gawa nya.

the thing you posted is really a good deal is it is locally available. imagine for only $35 USD you can get an active booster in your guitar?

I think one of the dudes here is thinking of distributing GFS pups locally.  Don't know if pups lang o anything GFS and balak niya.  I've tried the Neovin pups and I think they're worth more than what I paid for them.

problem lang dito e kung passives ang gamit mo, kelangan mo ng cavity for the 9V battery...
well, advantage talaga ito sa mga naka-actives (e.g. EMG, Blackouts)

personally mas gusto kong nasa stompbox ang booster.
