What kind of speakers would you recommend for a Peavey CS1000 stereo amp?

Need your suggestions guys, I have a Peavey CS1000 stereo amp and I have been wondering what kind of speakers would be the best fit for it (for a guitar amp set up). Any suggestions? I do have two JBL MR822 speakers though, would that be good enough? Would I need a separate equalizer for this amp and how would this kind of amp fare with other guitar amps?

Any input that could help will definitely be welcomed, suggestions on an alternative set up or whatever. Thanks in advance.
