modding mixers: adding channel inserts
« on: February 12, 2009, 09:01:56 AM »
i really wanted to get a new mixer but what bugs me is that i cant afford better quality with higher mic input count. parang nasasayangan ako kung papalitan ko lang din ng behringer na mas maraming inputs yung behringer mixer ko ngayon.

Hehehe. Nisagot na kita sa PM, there was an easier and less intrusive way to do it.

Insert a PL plug in the fx insert plug but don't push it all the way in so that the signal won't cut out. That way you can get a "direct out" thing from your mixer. Ngalang if I remember correctly, it will not be subject to the mixer's EQ and gain controls because the tap is from the pre-EQ portion.

Turo lang din ni Boskit sa kin a long time ago.

yup i got your message but those individual insert plugs are actually missing from this low end mixer. the taps i made are post fader so i can also use the eq section  :-D

First click method ito di ba boss BAMF? Yung sa akin gumawa ako ng improvised cable para kahit isagad ko pa ok lang. meron kasi akong china mixer na 24 channel with individual channel inserts. napaandar ko 8 simultaneous tracks using 4 berry UCAs. Di na masama yung resulta hehehehe.

Congrats parekoy!  Ang inserts actually are like taps  between the mic preamp and EQ.
