MIDI PUZZLE
« on: June 16, 2010, 11:12:17 PM »
the idea of linking 2 keyboards - a controller ( KX88)  a synthesizer XP 80, a drum machine (Roland TD 12) and synth sounds from Logic Pro 8 on a Macbook pro to be used while recording in PC via Nuendo4 has been elusive..Is this route doable??? what are your thoughts??? i will be using an 4x4 Midisport to link it.. If this thing works i know it will be awesome..oh i forgot..plus Reason 4 too..and that will be REALLY REALLY AWESOME... 8-) 8-) 8-)

just to add, i am trying to go this path so that i can exploit the wonders of MIDI
1. i can correct timing problems on both keyboard and kick/toms
2. change keyboard sounds on both hardware and software synth sounds
3. print notes on keyboard performances.
4. save performances on MIDI for later use or to send via email.
Right now... i can use ALL keyboard sounds (hardware and software - Reason 4), drum sounds, record MIDI but not Logic 8
I can use Logic 8 synth sounds, use a separate a/d converter and record audio but no MIDI capabilities...
To integrate everything will be great but i am losing hope... the Midisport 4x4 has only 1 USB wire  :-(

pwedeng pwede yan sir,

1. timing problems? depende sa midisport primary interface mo. syempre out of the question naman ang Mac kasi nga MAC e! (yabang  :-D
2. pwede basta routing mo tama. esp MIDI ins.
3. nuendo merong print notes.
4. pwedeng pwede. .

PUZZLE SOLVED...  8-) 8-) 8-)   this is how i did it:
the keyboards and drum machine was connected on Midisport ports 1 - 3 ..the fourth port was used for Logic sounds via MIDI cables coming from UNO.. now i can switch sounds from Reason 4, Logic 8 and hardware synthesizer..
