Recording with M-Audio Delta1010lt question
« on: March 17, 2010, 05:56:38 AM »
hey guys i'm planning to get a M-audio Delta 1010lt so that i can record 8 tracks simultaneously. Nag sasawa na ako sa 1 stereo track ng Behringer UCA202 ko eh (extremely useless when recording a drumkit).

I'm planning to record 6 mics  simultaneously pero 2 mic pre amps lang meron ang Delta 1010lt.  So the question is, how will i hook up 6 mics in it? :-D

IraJames

bili ka muna ng mixer na may direct outs or inserts sa bawat mic channel

+1.

Or buy external preamps. If you're on the cheap, get M-audio Buddy preamps. One unit of those already has 2 preamps.

ahh i see thanks guys. parang mas convenient yung mixer na may line outs sa bawat channel.
pero for now uunahin ko muna pagipuan nung 1010lt.

Can you guys analyze kung mag wowork etong naisip ko?

I have a Behringer UB1002 and UB1202.
so plan ko,

sa UB1002, I'll hook up the 2 alt outs (mon send and fx send)  to 2 of the line inputs ng 1010lt. and then sa UB1202 naman, I'll pan 2 mics hard left and right then lagay ko sa another 2 inputs ng 1010lt yung main outs (left and right). so that should give me 4 mics recording simultaneously plus 2 more dun sa built in preamps ng 1010lt.

so all in all, makakapag record ako ng 6 tracks simultaneously. Tama ba? Mag wowork kaya to?  :-D

ah wala ka pa pala ng 1010lt. i would like to help you but you asked too late...sayang kung napaaga ka lang kasi 2 months din akong bum/professional applicant kaya lang mag start na ko ngayong monday. wont have time to do anything else, night shift for 2 months.

my advice to you, just buy an interface with integrated mic preamps. i'll definitely buy a firewire or pci-based interface rather than usb because its more cpu/memory hungry = less plugins during mixing.

pareho lang yung old presonus firestation ko sa 1010lt kasi 2 mic pres at 6 line pres lang ang included. i already had the ub1202 but i still wont be able to utilize all 8 tracks even after modding so i also considered getting an 8-channel mixer to simplify things. i specifically wanted to get this mixer http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/RX1202FX.aspx but it cost around 14k locally. i wised up, sold my firestation and just bought the firestudio project at 17k and lived happily ever after. i already bought my 2nd firestudio project and its coming this june to complete my dream 16-channel setup.

eto masasabi ko bumili ka ng profire2626 para sigurado meron ng 8mic pre ng octane for drums. 2overheads, 2snare, 2toms, 1kick, and 1hh. swak na! meron pang spdif para digital and adat for additional 16 I/O pwede ka pa magdagdag ng octane or ibang preamp na meron adat out. sulit to pangmatagalan na di ka pa kakapusin.
