+1

general guideline lang (napost ko na rin to dati):

filter>>compression>>overdrive>>distortion>>modulation>>pitch shifting>>time-based

my setup is this way:

guitar > distortion > OD > chorus > Amp

OD's gain is almost zero and level is high(past 12 'clock). pang-boost lang talaga ng distortion during solos.

for rhythm work that needs distortion or overdrive sound, naka-on yung distortion pedal then adjust yung volume and tone knobs ng guitar to half(say 5)...

yupyup, but general effect sequence lang yan nabasa ko sa isang book dati. the OD and distortion can be interchanged, the pitch shifting section can be placed right after the distortion/OD chain, etc. good place to start lang yung guideline na yan, it all depends on your taste :)

yup tama yung trip kong tunog kasi parang ganyan din e hehe.. naunahan na kasi ng soft clipping ng OD kaya siguro sa pandining mo di mo na mapaangat pa ng DS-1 yung edginess ng tone mo. ang i-try mo now is bawasan mo yung drive ng OD (mga 8-10:00) then taasan mo yung level para booster talaga sya. iba kasi timpla ko e, tipong angat lang ng konti yung volume pag on ang disto + OD as compared to OD lang. that way, hindi booster lang ang function ng OD ko but as a semi-dirty tone pedal :)
