HELP: Volume and Tone knobs

matigas na pihitin yung volume at tone knobs sa guitar ko...

i tried wd-40 before, umayos pero pag matagal di nagagamit guitar ko mahirap na pihitin uli.
 nag wd-40 ako uli pero may sabit na talaga, parang may pumipigil sa loob...

please help....ibanez gio po yung guitar.  thank you.

It would be better to replace them. If you can fix it, after some time, titigas na naman yan.

And oh, if you will still push through with the remedy, don't use WD-40, use lighter fluid instead.

That happened to an old, unused Gio of mine too. Used lighter fluid. Worked for my the Volume pot. The Tone pot was too stuck I just replaced it with a new one.

Nung nangyari yan dun sa strat ko before, kinalas ko sya, tapos nilinis. Yung cousin ko may binigay sakin na fluid na pampadulas, nakalimutan ko kung ano. After that ok na sya.

Well maybe replacing it is better than using lighter fluid. 'course, it's gonna cost you more but it's for the long-run anyway.

+1 sa Lighter fluid. Zippo is good.

meron nabibili sa electronic stores na contact cleaner/lubricant.iba yung contact cleaner lang..dapat contact cleaner & lubricant sya.yun ang ayos na solution sa problema mo kung ayaw mo palitan potentiometers ng gitara mo.

if you're gonna get potentiometers/pots check out AUDIOPHILE...more expensive stuff compared with what other stores offer.

 but you do get what you pay for

check out their "ALL PARTS" (correct me if I'm wrong) CTS pots.
