sweaty hands tread again
« on: June 29, 2013, 11:23:02 AM »
Hi po

in the treads here there's suggestions about soaking in tea...  since ordinary tea contain lots of substance equal to caffeine that should induce sweating imho.... in Sweden the climate is horrible cold and never damp as you propably know this problem only occurs when im back home here in Phil..yea this is home now..   feels like an OFW nowadays  :) ..   I use tawas for drying up the hands..works quite ok...  feels a little funny to fiddle with white powder in a small bag.. :?   my wife gets a worried look on her face when I say:   can u get me some of that shabu stuff for my hands   :-D  yea we have strange sence of humour in Sweden I know...  I've always managed to stay away from chemical stuff..seen some friends go down on that [gooey brown stuff].   natural herb stuff is something else ...right... so what do you guys do to tackle the problem ?

Hi there. Welcome to Philmusic. Seriously, I put a small amount of High Endurance and I make sure my hands are clean before I play. Btw, High Endurance is what you put on your underarm so it doesn't smell or sweat. Try it. It works for me.

I don't know if it works for you. I used to wash my hands with detergent soap at least 30 min. before I'll play the guitar. Most detergent soap makes the skin dry. Get the one that is not "banayad" to the hands!  :-D

just wash your hands, while taking a bath, I use my facial wash in my hand ( oil control ), also I have a small electric fan in my room, It helps...everytime I feel wet, I dry it in front of the electric fan....

I tested all tips yesterday and a combo of all tips works fine,  wash hand, apply a little deo, let it dry... then Tawas and a fan close where I sit and practice
also scotch brite the back of the neck so it gets real slippery ....

thx po for all great advice
