USB 2.0 MIDI interface + ipad usb adapter

Gusto ko po sanang itanong kung pwede ko bang gawing controler ung keys ko sa iPad 2 garage band using USB 2.0 MIDI interface + ipad usb adapter?

medyo convoluted ang approach na yan and besides, I don't think na kaya ng ipad mag drive ng external usb lalo pa kapag mataas ang current draw ng device.

what you need is something like the Yamaha iMX1 midi interface or the ik Multimedia iRig Midi.

im trying this option coz im not sure if i could get iRig midi interface here in bahrain.
kung bibili ba ako sa amazon meron na bang kasamang midi cable un or it is separate?

Adding the usb hub only means another device in the chain. You would want to keep things simple. If you're going to order from Amazon, I think you can't go wrong with either the iRig midi or iMX-1. The midi cables appear to be proprietary, though, since they seem to connect via 1/8" plugs to the device. Midi uses only 3 wires so that seems reasonable enough.

skin, the video shows Piano Pro in the iPad controlling the Novation. What the TS wants is an external controller controlling GB in the iPad. I think this vid is more appropriate:

I saw a gadget like an iRig it is Line 6 but its expensive it worth 40 bd (4,400 php).

I think much better ill just look in the net.

My problem is solved, i try this USB camera kit for Ipad/Iphone and use my MIDI Interface and everything work perfectly. i dont need to use IRIG or Line 6 Mobilizer. i just plug the iPad camera kit and USB MIDI interface to my iPad to my Keys and run my Garage Band App and it works.

glad you got it working! I was thinking of getting the same adapter until I realized... I didn't have a usb keyboard controller
