not sure if anyone has mentioned it but check the guitar first.

treble bleed cap (or cap+resistor) OR 50s wiring mod will help retain highs through the volume pot's taper and keep your chord voicings from turning to mush.

I agree with this. Gamit ko to, ako nag modify, Seymour Duncan Pickup, 331 capacitor, 500k potentiometer. try mo to, mukang eto hinahanap mong solution.

I heard alot of good and famous guitar players out there using a medium high gain or high overdriven sounds pero malinaw parin mga chords na naririnig mo, also called chord clarity/transparency. I've been a tone questor since nung natuto na ako sa mga pedals on my teenage years. Problem is, pag naka OD or medium gain ako, at pag nag stroke ng mga staccato chords, hindi siya ganun kalinaw. Example, stroking a Dmaj, pag pinakinggan mo o ng iba, sasabihin, powerchords ba yun? Or stroke a Bmin in a medium high gain, bakit tunog powerchords? I know it's weird, but my curiosity always bother me. Should i really trust the reissues of TS9 for this? I have a BBE Greenscreamer(TS808 vintage clone) as nuff said. I only use my Green Screamer just to boost some steamy solos, but not using it for a standalone OD, puro mid humps nga manipis at nagtutunog hilaw pa.

The final answer is: Use a Soldano SLO 100

I'd like to try a SLO 100 and find out for myself how these babies sound like in real life. Not in some demos. I bet these amps work like magic for high gain with clarity.

But how about your Diezel Herbert? Doesn't it have the same clarity at high gain settings as your SLO?  :)

It does but the Soldano is more organic and open sounding.  While the Diezel still has some compression.  Each has its own use -- parang kanya kanya.  Heh Heh.

I tried the Diesel and Soldano at Boosted's house. I like the Soldao better.

Chaquico's? I used that amp every week for several years. I loved it. I'm more into Fender and Vox-style amps these days. The Rivera Quiana Studio amp that I'm now using really loves dirt pedals and retains the clear note separation inherent to great sounding dirt pedals such as my current favorite, the Bogner Ecstasy Red distortion.

Then the Diezel really is for the brootz.  I think I will like the Diezel better than the SLO if that's the case.

Speaking of clear note separation while overdriven, has "it" already arrived, man? :)

yup!  :-D

Haha, I thought so. Dun lang ako nakakita ng Reverb-O-Sonic e. That amp gave off THICK overtones but still had great note separation.

OT: Yung Chaquico's ngayon naging Bingo Boutique at sex shop na. Haha!

ask a friend let him tweak your gear bago ka bumili ng gamit.

THIS.

Best to get advice from someone expert na makaka rinig ng setup mo.  Dami factors.  If ever you decide to bring your amp in, I can help you.  Not an expert, but there is so much advantage really hearing your rig.
