Ewan ko lang kung Mariposa strings ba yun o La Margareta or ibang local brand pero noon kasi meron akong nakukuhang string (Galing hardware) may nakatatak na "FISHING TWINE". :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

but anyway...grabe memories talaga tong mariposa na to. dati sa bene, ung kaklase ko ang mahilig sa gitara. raon strat pa ung sa kanya. grabe tipid na tipid sa pag bend ng string..kahit piso lang ang mariposa #0.....di pa kasi namin alam kung san nakakabili ng 0 noon. bihira kasi.

kinakapa pa nya noon...solo ng envelope ideas.  8)

anybody every tried Alice strings?  P80 per pack.  doesn't corrode... AT ALL... pero tigas hehe...

Yes sir, also use them.........  not bad, use 'em on my Strat and some acoustics...........  the acoustic sets, 0.011s, cost around P65.00..... great value...........

haaayy...mariposa and la margarieta strings.......these were the culprits who divirginized  my then soft fingers :oops: .....i learned the major scale using these strings... dito ko nakuha ang mga unang kalyo ko sa daliri.   :lol:  8)

hindi ko nasimulan tong thread.. naalala ko pa nung pupunta ako ng palengke makabili nito.. at sa isang school supplies store ay maeron silang mariposa at la margarita.. hehe..

napakinabangan ko din noon, matingkad ang tunog matching plywood at lawanet na gitara.. hehe.. kumustahin na rin ang mga fretbars na kinakain sa talim nitong mga to.. aahah :lol:

i still use 'em mariposa/la magarieta un 1.2 &3 lang ginagamit ko pamalit pag napatid un high E, B & G strings ng ernie ball ko magastos kc pag nagpalit ka agad ng set, antayin ko muna mapatid ung mga low strings ;) alaga lng sa GLO metal polish umaabot sa akin ng 3 months ung mariosa nang di kinakalawang ;D

Alice strings yung nakakakabit dun sa (sold) Don-Jon acoustic ko. Langya, sabi ng owner, naputol na daw yung strings, pero walang corrosion or rust! ;D

TIP lang sa mga nagtitipid:

Kung pareho pa rin ang sukat ngayon ng mga Marguerita at Mariposa dati, ang pinakamalapit sa hi-E, B, at G string ng 9s set ay yung string #'s 0, 2, and 3 respectively.  Ginamitan ko pa ng micrometer yan!   ;) ;)
