Question about FX Bus output

Mga Sir,

Question lang po. We have a Mixer Soundcraft EFX12 then yung AUX send we use it for floor monitor, how about yung FX bus out same lang ba ito like AUX send or pwede sya gamitin as AUX? dahil plan namin magkabit ng sub woofer then dito ikabit yung sub for kick mic sa drums.

We tried to connect an active speaker dito to test pero ayaw tumunog adjusting the FX send knob per channel.

Then upon reading sa manual kanina base sa pagkaintindi ko is pwede sya but Post Fader sya sa meaning po ba yung volume level nya is dependent  sa Input Channel Fader?

Also pag ginamit po ba itong FX bus output hindi na gagana yung effect? dahil hindi na mag route papunta sa FX processor?

Or baka may kulang ako sa gingawa to make it work.

Pwede po syang gamiting AUX pero di nyo na po magagamit ang FX ng mixer if you do so, leaving you with 2 auxes, 1 for mons and the other for your sub. May option po ang mons AUX nyo to go post- or prefader, may white button po near the right side of your mixer, yung mga green knobs or pots po ang inputs nito. The FX send used as AUX or not is always postfader, meaning depende sa fader position din ang volume po,I believe. Hope not but if as you say an active speaker was connected without output, you may have a busted FX module which would render not only the FX processor useless but would also not let you use FX send as an AUX. If that's the case you may want to have it checked sa Audiophile-Marikina. Would cost you a few thou to replace the FX module

Sir I Think hindi busted yung FX module cause its working, we are able to use the effects.

Yes sir no problem with the Pos-Pre for the AUX your right may button sya.

Sir regarding this medyo naguluhan ako hindi sya post fader pero depende sa fader position ang volume? so meaning post fader sya. Or you mean yung knob volume ng FX(violet knob) sa per channel need to set also kasi even if yung fader naka taas pag walang level yung  FX knob sa channel hindi maglalabas ng volume. And both the fader ang FX knob affects the volume which make it a post fader?

If your using it only as an aux, no need to use po yung kulay purple na fader sa right side ng mixer, you need to input only the channels na gusto mong lumabas using the purple knobs or pots. Post fader po ito, you need to bring the channel fader up preferrably to 0 and adjust the gain accordingly til you get the volume you want. If you'll use it as FX baka better po kung walang nakaplugged-in sa FX send jack, you need to use both the purple knobs and the purple fader at the right side. In both cases, postfader po ito. Sa mix busses (main mix outs) lang po yata pwedeng lumabas ang effects. At kapag may nakaplug sa FX send na jack bypassed na po yata ang FX use in favor of aux use, check na lang po nyo sa manual if I'm correct
