hmm. pangit ba talaga ung CS-3 at dyna comp? dami din sa ads eh..
ang level up na sa price range ay ung malekko comp sa pedal peddler at ung strymon OB1.

what about CMATMODS Signa Comp? I have one but I'm not using it, ginamit ko lang for several times then stop using it na, parang diko kase alam kung tama ang naririnig ko o hindi, before that gumamit pa ko ng Kalikot audio comp.

Dati akala ko okay ako with compressor but then parang diko na alam kung kelangan ko nga talaga

depende talaga sa user ... para saken mas gusto ko yung transparent at quiet na compressor. may iba naman gusto nila na medyo squishy compression nila.

you should try it to find out.

San ba ang ideal placement ng compressor? Before or after ng gain stage/drive ped?

I don't seem to see a good purpose sa compressor used for humbucker guitars. Sa single coils naman, ang sarap lalo na pag chordings... :D

Almost lahat ng nakikita ko before dirt pedals.
How about sa mga gumagamit ng wah? I put mine after the wah pedal then dirt na. Bale:

wah > comp > overdrive/dist
"got milk?" ,"got GAS?"

this is how i have it setup as well.
There is no tone. There is only music.

recently got a boss cs-3, and the thing i like the most is it helps louden my hammer ons and pull offs. ive gotten it to play nicely with my shredhead on, since i only use moderate gain.
Got any fitness or supplement related questions? PM me.

I use a Boss CS-2. Very nice with cleans, but I seem to loss dynamics when playing dirty with it. I prefer CS2 over CS3 though, because that extra knob in the CS-3 just makes it noisy IMO. +1 to single coil use, not so much for humbuckers.

The compressor should be placed before filter effects such as wahs and envelope filters, unless you'd like the filter effects to be a lot more subtle.

I'm not fond of compressors at all...

My Idea is the right rand (picking hand) should be the control for loudness, nuances and dynamics.

I feel the compressor just limits these three factors. So much so, that its not natural sounding anymore, "çompressed" as the name of the pedal suggests.

You must not like high gain distortion then haha

I'm currently far away from home (and my regular gear) right now, but I think I can look for some parts to build an Orange Squeezer clone in my host country :-)  I'll see what I can come up with.
