2)I hate it when I lose my sticks while playing.
3)I hate it when a band member asks me/forces me to do something not "pasok". ("eto gawin mong fill diyan" "eto gawin mong beat" tapos kahit anong paliwanag mo na hindi maganda yun pipilitin ka pa rin.siya pa galit)

Drummer ako gitarista ka... gawin mo trabaho mo gagawin ko akin... ok na sana if mas experienced ka mag-drums sakin eh... ang problema puro basic beat lang alam mo, yun pa pinapagawa mo sakin sa lahat ng kanta... wew... (sa church nangyari sakin to ah... outsider pa siya!!! outsider!!!) 

6)I hate it when I really want/need a drum gear, and no matter what I do(or not do.kasi di ako kumakain), I can't have them kasi walang pera.

i hate it when our vocalist/guitarist repeatedly fails to recognize four measures kahit na minamarkahan ko with "major major" urgency...o kahit di ko pa minamarkahan...parang may sariling mundo...

and i hate it when above vocalist/guitarist "edits" my drum rolls during practice kahit hindi bagay sa kanta...

those were my problems with my old band.

Badtrip yung medyo magcacramp sasabit yung right leg ko. Bigla nalang magiging sloppy yung kick pattern ng mga songs namin. Tapos hindi ko madiscover yung remedyo, parang aayos nalang bigla, pero sometimes the day after na. Haay, kulang ata ako sa exercise.

I hate it when "PAL-BRA" yung drummer na nakikita kong tumutugtog... "PAL-BRA" = PALong-BRAso as in di marunong gumamit ng wrists... Gamit niya is "siko" para mag "down-up" stroke sa kit... Tapos pinamumukha pa niyang magaling siya... Kapag pumapalo naman parang "nagbabawas" sa kubeta... Hahaha... Hirap na hirap na siya kapag 16 beat na paluan... Mixed emotions ako lagi... di ko alam if matatawa ako or maaawa ako eh... 1. Tatawa sana ko kaso di alam ng mga tao kung anung nakakatawa kasi di nila alam na mali yung pag-palo niya at pinahihirapan lang niya ang kanyang sarili at katawan niya... 2. Naaawa ako kase yung mga taong nanonood ay nakafocus lang sa tugtog di sa cleanliness ang execution ng drummer sa drums... Baka magpaturo pa yung mga nanood sa kanya... Sasablay pa sila pareho... Sabi nga sakin ng gitarista namin... "Sa pagsuot ng polo... Kapag mali ang unang buttones sa mali na lahat"

Naranasan ko to... Hahaha... Buti nalang kapag umupo ako ang "field of vision" ko moving from left to right di up & down... Ang ganda ganda ng set tapos upuan beatbox!!! Hahaha... Kaya kailangan mag-ipon... Di ko kayang mag-turo ng drums sa youth ng church namin about "being comfortable in the kit" if beatbox lang yung upuan... Hahaha...  Pautang naman mga sir!!!

I hate it when:

I meet loud mouth drummers who think they're better than everyone else.
my bandmates don't take practice seriously. especially when learning freshly baked songs
I'm the only one writing all the songs
Other people tell me what to do pero di naman sila ganun ka-credible
people tell me to shut up when the music requires volume
my cymbals are like... 3 years old and they crack
my sticks break into two when you're like... a few weeks old
drum gear sucks at a venue and I have to bring a sh*tload of stuff just to make the show sound good
battle of the bands competitions good screwed up by people trying to win dirtily
i loose my sticks while playing a song

i never had any formal training, and i'm close to 100% self-taught, so yes, i admit to being "PAL-BRA" a lot of times...and i admit that 16-beats are my achilles heel...

...but none of my bandmates have had any major complaints about how the drums actually sound.  and i always tell people i'm just an average drummer...sa akin kasi, it's more of how you sound, whether sablay ba o hindi, and less of how you look while creating that sound.  parang basketball lang yan...doesn't matter if you shoot with your arms, like you're throwing a shot put...as long as the ball goes in the basket, it's all good...

Malaking benefit po kapag nagagamit natin ang wrists at di lang tayo limited to arms & shoulders... "the smaller the muscle, the faster the moving speed" sabi ni Jojo Mayer... Kaya praktis ko ngayon "finger control" ko eh... No movement of shoulders, arms & wrists... Just fingers... 
Benefits of using wrists & fingers on drumming: Mas relaxed ang muscles while playing, More endurance & less tension sa muscles, greatly lowr risks of muscle pain in the arms, walang blisters sa palm & fingers... more control & speed while playing

Heck, even Matt Greiner uses his arms mostly, even in blast beats, that most of his fans would call him a robot lol! But I heard recently that he started using his wrists.

no offense taken.     in all fairness i've always tried to use my wrists...pero mahirap baguhin yung mga old habits na naacquire during my formative years as a drummer.   as i said, it's the end result that matters, but yeah...parang sa basketball din, you have more control if you shoot (or in this case, play drums) using mainly your wrists.
